well, as a fashion creator, i just can say that when i do my adpic, of course showing the backside is more than normal. i dont sell only the frontside of the clothes but i sell all sides lol. So i think its normal my potential customers can see what it look from the backside too and even from the profile sides. i know a lot of creators doesnt display it.. and i have the same frustration than you. i just cant understand why the hell they cant think their creations are not flat items. And about meshes.. i agree on the fact that it makes my avi look like she has a fat butt. i think its too early for running in meshes for now... and as a creator, ive been so disapointed with the templates ive bought to include in my creations, that for now, i decided to stop and wait and see.

lol pas de soucis.. c'est tjs un plaisir d'aider quand c possible... si tu as besoin de conseils, d'astuces etc n'hesite pas à me contacter inworld, si je ne suis pas en ligne, ne laisse pas d'im pke sl me les mange mais envoie plutot une nc. je suis sur sl tous les jours, le plus souvent en fin d'apreme apres mon boulot rl. et les dimanche et lundi, pusique je ne bosse pas. en général je suis souvent occupée à gérer mon business sl, mais je repond toujours . Et puis je pourrais aussi te donner kkes petits conseils pour éviter les pieges du debut et puis aussi de te faire avoir. et je pourrais également te donner pas mal de trucs si ça t'interresse, et kkes unes des fringues que je crée. en plus on parle la meme langue et on a la meme timezone lol... jusqu'a ce jour, en tout cas pour ce que j'en sais, personne n'est venu au monde en connaissant tous les trucs de sl... et sl n'est pas facile au début... donc nous avons tous été débutants comme toi, nous avons tous tatonnés et bien souvent, ce que nous savons par la suite, nous le devons à une (ou plusieurs ) personne qui nous a aidé au début. Il est donc tout à fait normal de rendre la pareille à notre tour quand nous le pouvons. :smileywink: En tout cas c'est mon point de vue.

coucou ! et bienvenue sur sl pour des skins, celles de Unique sont en effet très réputées pour etre de tres bonne qualité. tu peux également regarder du coté de chez Mojo, poudre, rockberry (j'en oublie certainement d'autres très bons). Si tu veux avoir un apperçu de la qualité, ces magasins ont toujours des cadeaux de groupe (group gift) qui change chaque mois. il te suffit juste de joindre leur groupe et de recuperer le cadeau dans leur magasin. Tu peux egalement surfer sur le web à la recherche de blogs parlant de mode sl. et là tu auras egalement, pas mal de photos et de conseils. si tu as besoin d'aide pour tes débuts sl, n'hesite pas à me contacter inworld. :smileyhappy:

well, if i need to take a break for only some days, i write it in my profile and ask them to drop a nc, if needed, in my inworld mailbox, that way, im sure i will get it when ill be back and will go back to these pp asap. But, i had to leave my business 2 times for about 1 month each time. Fortunately, i have 2 dear friends in sl, that i never met in rl but that i know for years. They have my login and password and are able to log for me if needed. I also sent notice in my groups and write in my profile that pp may ask these persons if they have any question or need about my items. Its not possible to think in advance about all the questions that may be asked. There is always smth that happen and that you didnt think about before. In this case, i trust my 2 sl friends judgement and i know they will find one of the right answers. During normal times, i also use to check how is my business thru my mailbox, and i can answer to people from it too without loging in sl.. at least, if SL doesnt cap my ims. Im sure you have also some friends that you can trust. Maybe better to ask to them, than hiring unknown persons... anyway good luck for your delivery :smileywink:

well, to be honnest, i never look at mp items by relevance. bec mp relevance isnt prob the same as mine. this system classify items just according how many time they have been sold. ok... i would look with this kind of filter if im doing a study on what pp like to purchase on the mp. But, when im going on the mp, my purpose is only to buy smth i need. So why the hell should i have the same taste and willing to buy than other pp (that i dont know btw, and maybe with who i dont share any tastes). ? So, when i look for smth in the mp : or i settle the search from newest to oldest, or by price. and before choosing, i watch a lot of pages to be sure i will like what im purchasing. i often look at the reviews, but i take them with relative trusting, since i know, some are from merchant's friends or alts. And i often write reviews myself too. But i really really dont mind about the relevance order, neither for my items, neither for what im planing to purchase. For me this is just a stupid way to classify items.. i dont believe at all that an item is great bec a lot of pp purchased it. we ve seen already in History, situation where the main part of the pp were wrong. And im not a sheep... so i prefer to make my opinion by myself...

well... despite the fact i like a lot of those already mentionned, my favorite jewellery store is from far Celtic Myst Jewellery. Ive discovered it some monthes ago thanks to a friend... and omg.... id like to buy all there ..... well, i will surely do lil by lil :smileywink: Of course its celtic style btw.

Arielle, i just checked your Market place page. i can see indeed your items linked to your name, but what is prob saying SL to you is that you didnt created a "market place store", where you should have a lil box, for your profile, something for your policies, a pic of your store etc... (well i compared your mp page to mine, and it look different) So maybe you should try to fill this fields in your store page to make it complete. Maybe that with new delivery system, this has to be done.. i dont know, but it worth to be checked. Maybe the problem is that your mp store form is not enough complete and so the merchant outbox cant find it. Good luck

ok lol... So who the hell did tell you that your item has been flagged for copyright reason ? Can't it be you didn't filled correctly one of the fields of your item's form ? It happened to me for a woman outfit for what i had 3 versions. 1 with only the outfit, 1 with the jewellery and 1 for both. I have other same kind of packs but never had problem with them. But for this one, the pack including jewellery AND outfit have been flaged two times for being in the wrong category. It was in woman outfit. The similar ones are in the same category aswell. Despite i didnt had never any pb with the other ones, this one has been flaged 2 times. i had finally to upload it again and change a lil the name. I still dont know where LL want i put it since even after reading the wiki about it, for me, its the rght category. And well, for now it has not been anymore flagged. So maybe it has been one weird sl bug more. How did i knew it ? i just had a line in my Mp loging page, where you usually see the updates infos. So if you never check it, its normal you missed it. Its funny to see how pp turn easily into "copyright infrigement or copyboot attack" drama.

well no. It doesnt make sense for me. Ive never met a merchant stupid enough to use such lag strategy in his/her shop. This will work 1 time, maybe 2, but no more bec if the pp get frozen everytime they will go there, they wont go back. And the word of mouth will work soon. So well, i know that we can meet all kind of pp all allong our live and some kinds we couldnt never assume before. So why not ? indeed... but if some pp are stupid enough to use this kind of merchant's strategy, i dont think they are numerous. But IMO, i think that this theory is a lil bit paranoid (nothing against the OP of course, but there are so many others obvious reasons for lag, that i would envisage this one really at the end of the list of possible ones)

if you use firestorm viewer you will be able to upload temporary files for free, just checking the lil box for it in the uploading tab. i will try to catch you a lil later ( in less than 30 mn) when i will come online. dont panic lol, its not something really hard, but indeed, its not smth that u can know without some lil infos.

hi , can you tell more about what kind of meshes clothes it is ? did you already tried one of those alpha layers for clothes you can get on the mp for free ? basically, you need to get the usual SL template grid for clothes provided by LL for free ( http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Clothing_Tutorials) and draw the part you want to hide on your shape on it, and make it transparent , then u fill the whole remaining in black. Then you upload it in SL, create a new alphalayer, wear it, right click on it in your inventory and choose modify. then in the new tab that will be open, you drag the pic uploaded in the right part (bottom, if its a bottom part, top if is a top part etc.) If you need help inworld, send me an im if im online or a nc if im offline, ill be glad to help you or to do it for you.

hi ! this happens to me too and without i mess anything. Just clik on the top of ur friend names list (before the 1rst name.. the lil tab) it will organize them by alphabetic order. if it starts with Z, click again, and then it will start with the A. then, click on the tab on the left (the one above the online status) and ull get them all organized by alphabetic order and with the ones online first.

well, i rarely have free time but when i have i use it for chating with friends, hanging out and mostly do shopping for my av. (hair and boots are my weakness....) ... nothing different than a non merchant owner lol . i would like to make a hunt, since there is long time that i dont, but well... hoppefully one day, i will have enough time for it....

hi! if u want to open a lil mall and rent some store u dont need to subdivide your parcel. just rezz your store's buildings and rezz in each one ur rental boxes. (you can find some free ones in the mp, but they dont have a lot of features, in the past, when i had my old lil mall i uses the hippovend ones and they were really great, but there are a lot of other ones great aswell.), One time ur rental boxes are rezzed, you ll have to set them to the right settings you want (price, prim allowance,rental period, etc.. ). Some will allow you to add to the content a convenants note card, that will be given to each avi that will want to rent your box. One time sm1 is ok to rent one of your stores, he/she will just have to click on the rental box and follow the menu and pay the box. The parcelizing thing would give your renter the right to settle his/her own music, and name the parcel and choose if the parcel may be found in the sl search, but for a lil mall, this isnt needed at all, specially if u want to have differents floors. So store buildings with just rental boxes will be already really great. If you need help to settle them or if you need any advice, you can contact me inworld anytime

euh alors, la, j'ai pas l'impression que tu sois sur le layer de la jupe .... ou bien tu utilises le mauvais template. le template jupe va sur le layer jupe. le template bottom va sur le layer pants, ou underpants. Autre chose... tu utilises quel viewer ? je te deconseille tres fortement le viewer officiel..... surtout pour la crea. Firestorm a bcp plus d'options pour la crea et entre autre , il a la formidable option de pouvoir charger des textures en fichier temporaire gratuitement. il te suffit juste de cocher la petite case sur la fenetre de chargement. Ainsi, tu peux essayer des templates... et le corriger sans rien payer.... le fichier temporaire disparaitra des que tu auras deco.... (attention, tu pourras tjs le voir sur le layer pdt kkes connexions encore... mais n'oublie surtout pas de les remplacer par les fichiers definitifs pk'ils disparaitront à moyen terme.) Mais en attendant, pour essayer et corriger ça te permet de ne pas payer les 10 l$ à chaque fois. Si j'arrive à te contacter inworld je t'expliquerai pour les ombres et les plis.

coucou et bienvenue dans le monde des createurs sl :smileyhappy: alors pour répondre à quelques unes de tes questions... d'abord.... sache que tu ne vas pas gagner d'argent tout de suite, tu vas meme en depenser lol. Et ensuite, très peu de createurs degagent assez de benef pour couvrir les frais inhérents à leurs créas et un loyer. Perso, j'ai démarré en mai 2010 et j'en suis encore payer de ma poche rl environ 50 euros par mois pour couvrir les frais de mon terrain (bon, il n'est pas petit lol) + les investissements pour ma crea (textures, maps etc...) + les uploads et bien sur mon shopping perso lol. Donc je te conseille dejà de faire cela pour ton plaisir perso au debut, c super gratifiant en plus et ça fait un immense plaisir de voir kkun porter tes fringues... Rien que pour cela ça vaut deja le coup. En plus creer ne fait pas tout, le plus gros du boulot et un boulot de com pour se faire connaitre, et ça c bcp moins interessant... mais necessaire..; pour les cours, il y a des groupes (en anglais) comme les builders brewery qui ont un super programme de cours... pour les templates, tu peux en trouver sur le mp mais franchement si tu sais utiliser pshop c'est aussi mieux de faire les tiens toi meme. D'abord ça ne te coutera pas d'argent, mais en plus, ce seront tes creas originales, rien qu'a toi. pour les plis, il y a des moyens de les faire toi meme sur pshop. sinon, tu peux trouver des packs de brushes sur le mp egalement, mais ils ne sont pas donnés. pour ta deniere question, tu peux faire une robe avec un haut sur le layer jacket et un bas soit en prims soit sur le layer jupe (mais c moins joli et galere pour faire concorder le haut et le bas.) mais il n'existe pas de layer qui aille du haut au bas en un seul morceau... ou alors il te faut utiliser un mesh.... And since there is no way to fix this, all i had to do is accept the situation and find some way to avoid this like logging often and have an inworld mailbox. its not i didnt settled my viewer right, my settings are great, its not my mailbox send them in my spam folder, ive checked and it doesnt.... its just that for understanble reasons, LL cant save the whole ims that are sent when pp are offline. So im glad some are still getting all their ims when they are offline, but im pretty sure that the big mayority of us have them capped. But its yet enough annoying to have our ims capped, without having pp that doesnt trust this or suspect us to not knowing how we settle our viewer, sl account or mailbox....we are not dumb... we know how to do and we surely have the same settings as the ones who have their ims not capped. But well...SL is not perfect.... nothing is perfect and above all, noone is.:smileyhappy:
