  1. Talk about a cross post, but why not.
  2. Prokofy Neva wrote: I do wish I could have "contacts" like a business card and "friends" who are really true friends. The lists are out of control. I look down the list sometimes and note the ones that have my build perms. Those are true friends. My 'true friends' are the ones I speak with and share my SL experiences. My 'true friends' are my only friends. PS I let anybody build on my property - of course, I am a friendly friend always friending a friend.
  3. I would rather live in her world.... than live without her, in mine.
  4. Looking for a few more avatars. I know you are being like me; waiting for the 'right' snapshot to come along. Well don't - post it now - show us!
  5. Rhonda Huntress wrote: Hmmm, let me think .... Never claim to be a "Professional Student" or a "Student of Life" or any other silly euphemisms for being a jobless drifter. Storm, wouldn't you rather like to know what you SHOULD say? Like complimenting her sense of style. No, "you're sexy" is not the same thing. Compliment her on her taste of clothing. Tell her it is refreshing to see someone who does not look like all those other tramps. (But don't use the word tramp because you really need to avoid being negative) and above all else be confident and honest. If you can fake sincerity you are golden. Rhonda, I am the perfect gentleman; a man of the world; a ladies man; a mans man: a manly man. I have lived in this forum for a long time - I KNOW how to talk to the ladies (and some men, too)
  6. I handle it a tad different. I go to a welcome center every friday and help some newer people. I pass out NC's and take some of them shopping - explain some of the smaller things I have discovered about SL. Many offer their friendship and I accept - I also explain a little about calling cards and friendships. I explain that I will not keep them on my friends list, but I do have their calling card. If they want to continue in any meaningful relationship (what I consider a friend) then they should contact me - as I will them. If nothing happens neither loses.
  7. I am getting some new INK made as we speak. I want to fill these pages with the outstanding work of the tattoo creators.
  8. I loved your ink in the GD thread. You had many tattoo's, please show them - as I think this one will get whacked.

Honestly, who goes to the pub and spend 3 hours talking about the beer? We spend hours talking about the head. /me loves Belgium ale for that reason. Outstanding head.
  10. Would you tell a girl her facelight is brighter than she?
  11. Caitlin Tobias wrote: Do you find that some of your actions may turn others off? Yes, all the time! Do you find that sometimes you just say the wrong things at the wrong time? I don't., but others apparently find that I do. Tell us about your regrets. I have too many, it won't fit in this post. Tell us about the friend that 'got away' because *you* failed to be friend. Which one of the many? We all have regrets. I would be 'proud' to include you as a friend.
  12. Welcomes all opinions on whether this should be moved to AVATAR - after all we are talking about avatars .
  13. I, for one, love girly threads. I am a male heterosexual - who like girls alot! I like girly girls. I like strong girls. I like all girls. I am attracted to 'girly threads' because I learn the things that are important to sustaining a meaning relationship e.g., decanting dresses, facelights, prim dresses, makeup, etc. These are important issues. Did you ever tell a woman that you think her dress is decanting? Did you ever ask a girl avatar why her legs look like chop sticks instead of legs? No way right? She will never talk to you again. I learn about these things when I read girly threads. So, tell me: what are some of the other things guys should *never* say to a girl? Let's girly talk!
  14. Do you find that some of your actions may turn others off? Do you find that sometimes you just say the wrong things at the wrong time? Tell us about your regrets. Tell us about the friend that 'got away' because *you* failed to be friend. I'm listening.
  15. That's the spirit Derek. Looks great. Keep posting everyone - let's make this the thread of the decade!
  16. Great shots everyone. All you forum lurkers - show us your vanity; get your feet wet and make a post. Show me, show me, show me.!
  17. Sigmund Leominster wrote: Prokofy Neva wrote: This belongs in off-topic as a special event of only one small community in SL and not of concern to the wider population. Depending on where you get choose to get your information, the "wider population" could be a million folks, or more likely me, you, half the people posting in this thread, a dog called Bob, and the uncountable alts for Plastic Duck. And I suspect Bob has a few of alts... I enjoyed your article covering HippieStock. If I recall there were many people at this event that do NOT post to or read this forum or GD i.e., LadySue, Zeke, et al. The audience was 'wider' than most of us realize.
  18. Canoro Philipp wrote: it has to be this one: it has so many elements of Second Life that many will recognize Funny. /me says hello to Canoro.
  19. Quinn Morani wrote: These two videos remind me of SL (courtesy of Suspiria): These are really fun to watch. Suspiria did a great job capturing the moment.
  20. Jaen Albatros wrote: Ohhh, thank you Storm!! I was kind of too embarrased to ask anyone. Hope I've done it right! Yaay, it worked, thanks again! But now I've realised you said SL, not LL.....:smileywink:. We are all in this together.
