LL please cut the crap, protect your names, change her name to a default one and let her play!My 2 cents. That was $10 worth of 2 cents. Good post.
  3. I tink dis time youse got yourself in a pardiciment where youse need some stinkin' help, dontjuh? Administration hold gotta be bad, I never wanna see duh place - worser dan duh cornfield I wuz told. Anyways, It would take too long to know duh cornfield t'roo and t'roo, an' even den, yuh wouldn't know it all. Scuze me, I digress. It all ain't worth it. Yuh gotta have a sit down wit the Lindens. Yuh gotta tell 'em it's all cool; that yuh didn't mean to encroach on thier turfs. Yuh gotta tell 'em yuh made a slight mistake; theyll problally tax yuh alittle but dis witness relo type program aint workin for anybodies. Look 'em in the eye when yuh make 'em an offa dey cant refuse. Im workin on sendin somma the boys up dere to get yuh out. Message was edited by: Storm.Clarence a few spelling edits.
  4. Suella Ember wrote: She's not banned, she's on administrative hold. The distinction is important. I, for one, am glad that LL block other accounts from the same user when they take action against a particular account. Yes, in this particular case it's unfortunate, but as a general rule its exactly the right thing to do (what's the point of banning a griefer, for example, if they can just go and use one of their alts straight away?) In that respect it's not so much "guilty by association" as "guilty by being the exact same person". Anyway - Keli K is only on administrative hold and I'm relatively confident it will all be sorted out and she'll be back soon. If I were Keli what I would do is this. Contact LL again and say something to the effect of "I was stupid I know. I created the Keli LInden account just for a giggle and I even put in my forum profile that I was not really a Linden . I never created it with any intention to cause grief. I shouldn't have done it though and I apologise. Now please can I have my 'normal' account back from administrative hold. " I agree with your words. I was concerned from the beginning something like this would happen. I wish I would have admonished KeliInden at that time. I am sad this has happened, but I hope your advice works. I would heed your words if I were her. @Keli K do whatever you have to do to get back - you are missed.
  5. I am getting to this thread late. This is sad news. Very sad news. I will join in the breakout!

  7. Hello all.  If I don't renew my premium membership, do I have to give up my mainland holdings? (I currently own 4 parcels and a little linden home) I understand I will still need to pay 1/4 sim tier for my parcels. ETA: I have deeded the parcels to my group.  No one in the group is a premium but me.

I wanted to follow up on my issue. I contacted SL Live Chat. They told me that they did not support the Phoenix viewer; of course they don't. I downloaded Imprudence again. Access to the Control Panel went without issue. Thank you all for your help. I guess it is a Phoenix issue.

Every time I've seen someone who can't get the control panel to work (especially if they have the same problem in different houses) they have either it or Governor Linden (who owns the house) muted. I checked several times. I tried muting then un-muting. How can I tell if Gov. Linden is muting? He was not up for election tonight - I would have voted for him anyway (shameless plug only to get my control panel working.) Frustrating, but I guess I will have to put in a ticket. Thank you Itazura and Venus.

I'll facepalm myself after this question - how do I see/check if I muted by accident or on purpose? Right click object, select mute. I am guessing. Unmute the same way. It is on the 3rd level pie menu. Message was edited by: Venus Petrov added txt I checked the object and it was *not* muted. sighs. I really wanted to facepalm myself.

When I had my last home, I could activate and it brought me to a web page. I click on this control panel and I get nothing. It may be something I am doing incorrectly, but I don't think so. Actually, this is the second home that this has happened with in as many days. I abandoned my last because I thought the panel was broken. Oh well, I'm sure someone will provide me with an answer or so I can facepalm myself at the obvious.

I abandoned my last Linden Home so that I could select a new style.  I now have the LindenLoft Meadow Brook style.  For the life of me I can not access the control panel.  Was this featured turned off?  If no, could someone please point me to some info on accessing the control panel to change features e.g., drawing the blinds, changing wood and color, turning off fireplace, etc.  Thanking you in advance for any info.
  14. I haven't seen too many photos or maps of SL (as it use to be.) My being somewhat new to SL - everything is new and exciting. I would also like to see it as it was way back when. PS If I wasn't a technician, I would have been a cartographer (or chemist.)
  15. Great thread Venus. I was most curious about this myself; and I love maps, especially "how it use to be" maps.

    a land question

DR, thank you for your candid opinion. I will certainly consider your words. I do want and like to contribute, and I am seeking ways to do just that. Maybe I am approaching this wrong. Again, I will consider your words before I do anything. You have been a tremendous help, thank you.

    a land question

DR, thanks for your reply. I kind of knew all this already. I was looking for a smaller parcel to accommodate maybe one or two builders at a time. But, maybe you are right - I should look at something larger. I think you and Faubio are right to build it in the sky. I didn't expect to offset my costs or charge anything as I think there may be many people who do not have any L's but would like to build in a little more privacy. If you don't mind, and while I have your ear, how would you approach 'advertising' such a sandbox?

    a land question

I did think of that also, Faubio. Do you think it is a better way to approach this? What would you consider for size if it were land based? Message was edited by Storm: sends a thank you to Faubio.
  19. I would appreciate any advice that can be offered.  I tried surfing around for the information, but fell a little short.  I want to purchase a parcel of land (wonders if size has any relevance to answer.) on mainland.  I would set up a group for the land and allow access to people (who may not be able to afford a quiet sandbox) to use for creating (sandbox.)  Is it possible to 'rope-off' the area so creators will not be bothered by people who are griefing?    I understand ban lines and security orbs, etc.  If the land is 1024sqm, can someone stand on the perimeter and grief?  Are there any solutions to absolutely restrict griefers from interfering. I feel like I should know the answer, but I am not quite sure.
