I WISH I had done this. Or used the notes at all when I was on SL before. I have a pretty good memory (I think?) But I relied on convo logs a bit too much to jog my memory. Now that I'm back, I have a friends list full of people who, if they are on at times, I don't even DARE message because I barely remember who they are. That's not true of everyone on my list of course - the people I was closest with and talked to almost daily I remember very well. But it would be really nice to see someone on my list of old pop up and be able to say "hey! how have things been since X happened?" or "remember "y"?" rather then that dreadful moment they IM me to say hi and my only response is "ohhh.....you " I mean I'll still talk to them, but it always feels like the Mulva episode of Seinfeld, and I always feel pretty bad for a bit. Then they'll say one little thing and it hits the right set of cogs and I remember them, but why have that period of awkwardness? Notes absolutely ftw.

...Satisfaction brings us back? I've seen at least one or two other nekos a week (also @MrsSeren knows quite a few as well as herself!) I'm always happy to see other nekos in the wild, too. I'm glad we didn't go extinct. One of those groups that gives SL its rather unique flavor

For only 3 or 4 shots this year, this one is such a killer. The whole set compliments that dress perfectly, LittleMe, right down to the almost candy-colored lighting. This is SO nice.

Just the ears? He is a walking hypnosis machine, Syo. Those tails...that digitized halo. Ahhh!

They are pretty fabulous bangs! One of those hairstyles that somehow complements the eyes AND draws attention to the expressive eyebrows. It's marvelous. I mean...change it anytime you like, but when you're wearing them, I think you're rocking them.

I didn't have a chance earlier to post about the other mermaid shots...but I LOVE these! The spikey coral crown (it's coral in my head cannon anyway) is such a perfect touch, and yes, those eyebrows are perfectly fierce. Really really great!

Aww. Hee. Gee whiz. *blushes all the way down to his shoes* Shucks. Golly gee. Thanks, both of you. I wasn't trying to fish for compliments...someone had said to me my old hair was weird so I'm hoping to find something a little more appealing. Thanks so much! When I finish blushing, I'll have to go and comment on some posts.

There's something about the pose in this, Ayeleeon, that makes it look to me as if you're trying to blend in with the flock to learn their flamingo ways.

I'll add my voice (such as it is) in saying it would be a real shame to lose your voice on this thread. Your pictures are all quite wonderful, and I'm not the only person who has been happy you have been sharing them with us. I do hope everything's okay

That is so cool. How well does Blender talk to SL by the way? Do you know if Maya works well too?

Happy New Year, all! I was away from the forums and SL all yesterday (but had a fabulous movie marathon for New Years Day) So I'll try and catch up (and not go over my limit for posts again :/)

I am so glad to be back home so I can comment on this (these, actually...so many people posted so much great stuff while I was away!) But this - I love knowing this is part of a series, because it has the feel of one. I mean...not to go hyperbolic or anything, but it feels like something out of a photographer's exhibit, or a plate in a coffee table book. It has the spirit of artistic photography, while being a simulacrum of it at the same time. It's fantastic.

Such a great action shot Bagnu! The slight blur really gives it the sense of being in motion. So neat!

Hee! I saw this first in the Your Avatar thread. It's super fun! You and the rubber duck from above (unless my eyes are playing tricks on me) A bit of low key fun creating

Ahh! What range! What amazing range! You do such an incredible job of "realisitc" SL photography (to the point that the prims and pixels achieve an almost breathable realness in and of themselves) and then hop over to representational images. This is soo great! The texture of the vellum is almost tangible! Sooo neat! Hooray for photoshop!

Maybe not in the spirit of this thread (and if so someone let me know and I'll delete) but: I won't give you a bunch of useless platitudes about "everybody having a hard time yadda yadda". I KNOW it doesn't help sometimes. I know it takes your own grief, and anxiety, and isolation and buries it under a useless communal "We" So I'll just say - I'm so sorry this year has wrecked total havoc on your life, your will, and your activities. All of those things are outside forces, and they are all devastating, even if only one of them was happening. I think it's a merit and a sign of strength that you took any photos at all. Set 2021 on fire and don't look back if it helps.

@Iggy UwU I love it. There's this scowl that just seems to say "let's just burn 2021 to the ground already" ... but then again that might just be my own inferences. It's fabulous!

Isaac? That jacket? It's INCREDIBLE! The glitter-gold background is such a great touch to bring attention all the way back to the foreground anytime your eye wanders. This is such a great shot!
