  1. Other very amazing people have already expressed how cool this is, so I'll only point out I love the mink stole and gown. It is such a deliberate choice - incredibly unique and startling given the swamp background. Really really great
  2. I've only seen a few of your photos Matt but you have exquisite taste that most men (and by most I mean me) would DIE to have just a sliver of. A really nice slightly moody shot that's got the air of a high class cologne ad perhaps (Mischief, the new fragrance from Matt Night which...if course is the joke) Thanks for this one!
  3. Sometimes it's the context that packs such a hard punch. Sorry in some ways to see you there Ayeleeon, but maybe this time around you'll have many more memories to share. And hopefully happy ones
  4. I'm trying not to clog up this thread with responses (I'm sorry to blab so much, but you all make so many incredible things) And speaking of incredible things: @Aiyumei this is so fantastic! The slightly askew angle to get a better idea of the counter, the gaze straight towards the far corner giving the whole thing space - this is a wonderful job of conjuring the atmosphere of cozy warmth in a winter cafe. So nice! @Scylla Rhiadraothers have already talked about that glass reflection, and seriously that is a paragraph and a half of praise that should happen (it is incredible. You are doing these amazing things to reflect actual photography) but i also love the gaze here too - the rueful/whimsical distance implied by direction as well as through the pane is marvelous.
  5. *sniffles* and another neko *sobs* I'm not alone in the world *sniffles his happy tears* You are all amazing! But seriously - the COLORS in this!!!! Everything is so deliriously saturated. The reds are INSANELY red the blues are...you get the idea. Are these new options in Dragon? Or revamped old ones? What a playful photo that really leans into those vibrant colors and contrasts!
  6. Omg THIS. I've been saying this for YEARS!! Look people, they both want to feast on you. Vampires are just more verbal about it.
  7. I shall join you on this hill @asteriddle. You have my bow.
  8. There was a running theme of coffee shops and cafes here, so I figured I would dart out to one of my favorites for this one! Also huge thank you's for the lighting @Scylla Rhiadra! I kind of played with one in here (it's a bit hard to tell now, outside of the actual SL moment, but it's..there?) and they are SOO amazing
  9. That halo is GLORIOUS @Iggy UwU! You have the look of some pre-babylonian god strolling in for a chat. I love it.
  10. I actually think it looks really neat! You kind of rolled with the lighting here, and it has this faded, washed out look. Like a polaroid left out in the sun. It's a pretty cool effect actually.
  11. Ahh! Again! This is lovely! There's that great lens streak in the foreground that really makes this feel like an actual photograph. Some nice blurring to highlight the foreground. It's fantastic! (I'm also a wee bit biased because ears. ^-^) but bias aside it's great!
  12. This tail. It's a Lovecats tail. There are many bento tails out there now, but you would have to pry this tail away from me. Some of that is just how fluffy it is, but a lot of it is everything sentimental I have tied in and around it. A large part of what's grown to become my SL identity started with this tail.
  13. Again, your marriage of text and image is *chef's kiss* She looks so disappointed and sad, and we've caught her just at the moment of "oh. Maybe I should go..." Another great lens flare, here really subtle and bang on target to give us time of day, and (and this is me being a little conjectury) season (because it DOES seem not just like "outdoor light" but also "sunlight in winter", that washed out, steel grey/blue sky light that's so familiar this time of year. SO neat!)
  14. I'm a huge sucker for photos that tell a story, and this one is a great little story wrapped up in where her eyes are looking, almost is if thinking of something else before she speaks to the person in the forground. The blur is working really well here to draw our eye right to it, too. Every photo you have of this subject I am always dying to know - what is the skin here? Or is this in the resolution of the photo? Or touch-ups through photoshop or....sorcery? Because there's a level of...nearer photorealism when it comes to her skin than when it comes to, say, mine. It's really fascinating.
  15. I really love this. The lens flare, the reflection on the clothing and shadows. It's really really great. One thing I've noticed in the few photos I've seen of yours is how you're able to quickly draw our attention to the eyes. I can't quite figure out if it's an aftereffect you're using to make them pop, or if it's just a specific set of eyes out there in the grid. Either way it's always really neat to see.
  16. I absolutely love this. No need to find anything fancy to wear, or worry about mesh deformity. Hydration on the other hand is kind of a catch as catch can...
  17. Hee! I would say, for now (unless there are some extremely radical SL mesh improvements that I have no idea about coming up) It's an amazing success!
  18. Hey everyone! I'm wondering if you can help a neko out? I'm looking for clothes that look rumpled when worn. Like suits that look slept in, or shirts that aren't perfectly ironed. I used to have quite a few pre-mesh ones, but even if I try doing B O M stuff with them they just...don't look as nice as I wish they would. I've searched a bit on Marketplace, and either my search topics are too broad, or I'm not searching properly to find kind of what I'm looking for. I just, have an aesthetic for Bran to be this way. And really as many varied costumes as I can find would be great. Thanks so much!
  19. Well, out in the non-digital world I am making a huge change. Not just a new job but (potentially) an entirely new career. Which is, as always a little terrifying but also it's kind of nice to be reminded I can still be a little terrified at my age. Which will of course force me to restructure my life, something I couldn't quite seem to do on my own, working from home or being unemployed. I'm hoping (very much hoping) that it will only help improve a lot of other aspects of my life by giving back a little structure and routine. Here in the world of a rumpled neko who can never seem to keep his mouth shut? *grins* I'd like to get out more to things. Non-adult related events like readings or discussions. That sort of thing
  20. I really love your "slice of life" photos Ayeleeon. I mean your other profile and portrait shots are fabulous, too, but these ones tell interesting stories and you do it so well!
  21. True! I mean...very true. But I guess it's the difference between a selfie you take with one of those sticks and just...don't do anything with vs some of these absolutely gorgeous instagram perfect pictures you're doing. Not that I feel embarrassed or anything, just...*chuckles* It definitely gives a person goals.
  22. So yes...attempt three at photo-ing. At present, my skills are the rl equivalent of - "I have taken a selfie with my phone!"
  23. I'll try my best for comments, Bagnu I really don't have much of a vocabulary in photography that might be of any good to be honest (if this was, say a written medium then no, absolutely I could go on at length) but with photos like yours, or any of the other excellent photographers here all I can really say is liked it a lot and wish I could tell you exactly why and what. It's a really striking image!
  24. Wow. Just unconditional wow. Your base for the final product here was SL? That is absolutely mindblowing. This is flat our gorgeous work, Scylla. There is so much working here in terms of framing, and style and...it's lovely. I haven't seen a lot of your work, but this is by far my favorite you've done. Thanks for sharing it!
