    Personally, I find nothing amusing in this at all. My first thought was a hack. I have a lot of time and money invested in SL. The last thing I need is a hack.

    I've been running into this too. And having to restart FS to have things load properly. Not sure if it's the PBR beta, or SL itself. It's difficult to check, because restarting improves things for me, so restarting with the the non-PBR FS and it working doesn't really indicate anything.

    Cinny and I in a test for for National Blab headquarters. We found a few things. This was one of them, but it will take more time and effort before we are satisfied. And of course, it HAS to be scandalous!!!

    That's fine, but it doesn't explain or fix why Red52 is having problems. Eventually upgrades are necessary, even if we put them off, or after a while he/she won't be able to login at all.

    Oh god no please....no combat boots with fancy dresses for female AV's....BUT, it DOES work for a male AV in a dress though.... Neither Swallow or Toy, or even my old AV "Pearl" would be caught dead in combat boots!!!

    Absolutely. The only issue with this is video recording, since it all still has to be done using third party screen capture software. If our SL cameras were able able to record clean video, then we could switch back and forth with two logins to monitor, and not have our switching logins recorded in the video. This method would mostly be useful for machinima though, since we still have to actively take a snapshot for pics.

    This is exactly what I'm talking about too!!! It would be a very heavy load on our computers though, with each camera compressing separate video. AI might eventually come in handy to help with this kind of coding, and make it possible much faster than a human could, and without the need for powerful hardware.

    I just tried using my helicopters camera HUD for camera positions. It only works if I am actually sitting in it. I don't know about other vehicles though. I DO use saved camera positions, but only for posed shots (which I very rarely take). It's too slow to cycle through though in a RT situation though. As well. a positioner HUD is only usable for pics, not videos, since we can't get a "clean" screen for that unless the HUDs and UI are hidden. What I'm looking for is a camera positioner that has keyboard shortcuts. It would have to be built into the viewer itself though.

    Yes, as Rowan said, please give us the info about your laptop. Did you use FS for a year with no problems with your newest laptop? What error messages did you get?

    With some vehicles we actually DO have the capability to switch our cameras. I have an "Airwolf" helicopter which allows me to switch camera views. I haven't used it in a couple of years though. I had the macros programmed into my Logitech 910 keyboard. The biggest problem is that I had to be sitting in it. Now if we could set up multiple cameras in a room, and switch on the fly, that would be amazing. Or even better, ones that we could wear. But the the problem too is adjusting views if we do candid, like I do %98 of the time. But recording multiple camera views simultaneously would be quite nice, even if we can't see each individual view at the same time on our screens. We could pick and choose afterwards, and edit as we liked. The problem with this is it would require very "beefy" and expensive hardware as it stands now. If it's even possible to record multiple video streams at the same time with our existing hardware. We can wish though!!!

    I'm running Firestorm's newest PBR beta on a roughly 4 year old Acer Nitro 5 laptop.. I went through all the Alpha releases, and didn't run into issues like you describe. I didn't have issues with the standard release either. As Kathlen said: "what viewer are you using"? Do you have problems with any other software? Is your computer very old or low end?
