  1. This is worth sharing accross the relevant threads in Forum. Thanks for the tip!
  2. Thanks for saving me. I actually thought it was me doing something wrong. I discovered which ones I should use in Blender and now it works perfectly! *chef's kiss*
  3. @Linden LabPlease let this be the fix we all need! Since the last change that was made to Marketplace, creators have been losing out sales and everyone is getting mostly irrelevant results when searching for something. We want the Marketplace to be back to the way that it was 🥲
  4. It seems to go a bit better one day, and the next day it goes back to really bad😶
  5. *Speaks in a news reporter manner*: On today's episode of how messed up is messed up, this is messed up! 🤔
  6. @Ardy LayYup! You are totally getting better search results.I am totally confused as of how this new search algorithm gives different results for people who do the same search !🤔
  7. @Fergie FinesmithNot only that but it seems that the keywords we all used before in our items currently mess up the new search algorithm.I really don't know what else would fix these issues apart from a roll back...😭I search for clothes and I end up with furniture items as well..such as clothing racks, clothing hangers ect.
  8. @Ardy LaySorry, my words were quite misleading as I didn't know how to properly explain what I'm seeing.Attached a screenshot below of what my search results show me.These are (no disrespect whatsoever towards the creators, just putting a fact out there) old style mesh clothes that I believe were released when Maitreya first came out.I am looking for new mesh clothes that reflect the current fashion,if that makes sense? I have to dig deeper each time I want to purchase stuff for my outfit.
  9. @Ardy Lay I don't mind finding my favourite designers easily. What I do mind, is looking up something and being shown products for the old-style SL avatar when searching for stuff using my mesh body's name 🤔 Also, as I haven't been around long enough as a creator, I heavily rely on keywords when it comes to people finding my listings. And those keywords, at the moment, are not working properly (in my opinion at least).
  10. My best guess is that we all rely on inworld mainstore / event sales at the moment, and paying for advertising via websites.Am I wrong?
  11. Same here, just a creator too.Judging by the photos I would say the weight paint could be the cause, but then it could be the bones? (just a guess here, trying to help).Have you rigged your model using the SL bone hierarchy?
  12. I personally experience some weird issues myself if I don't regularly update my graphics card.I would suggest clearing cache files, updating graphics card and viewer as well,if possible (all of these on the customer's end). Also, I heard there are some graphic cards out there that do tend to misbehave at times? I have an Nvdia which handles SL very well, except for shadows on Ultra (they dissappear / mess up at times). Hope this helps!! 😊
  13. Hello. So I textured my UVs in Substance Painter. They look really nice and smooth in there.Upon uploading my excat mesh into SL,the UVs I exported from Substance painter look distorted.I cannot pinpoint the cause of the issue, since I applied all transforms before exporting.Any idea on what I'm doing wrong here? It only happens on meshes with sharp corners - any round mesh uploads absolutely fine.
  14. Same here...been like this for days and still counting.
  15. Absolutely 0 sales for me too.Come on LindenLab, do something! We are both losing out here!
  16. @Saucey SinisterThat's an interesting fact, I have never thought of that. Indeed, they seem to release new stuff very often. At some point I was wondering how they do it, since it takes a lot of time! The least it took me to create a piece of clothing, skin it,and bake its textures from the high poly model was 1 day. Finished it the next day as I was tired after that whole process (I am still a beginner).
  17. Wow...thank God I found this thread. My sales went down so quickly and I had no idea why! It's still not fixed for me, I am getting results that are irrelevant when searching for something on the Marketplace 😭. LindenLab, please fix this ASAP!
  18. @OptimoMaximo I must admit, I am not a big fan of Complexity, but never thought of that! 😂
  19. I see, so really just common sense then when it comes to poly count 😊 Complexity doesn't tell me much,as it keeps showing different values for each item every now and then,so I don't know what to make of that 🤔
  20. @Tonk Tomcat @Fluffy SharkfinThank you for useful explanations + the link with visual guides! It's such a shame, I saw meshes that looked amazing but upon clicking Inspect they had like +200.000 vertices or something like that (especially fuzzy looking apparel). I skinned a dress the other day and added more polys over the entire faces. Now that I know that I should only add them in the area that bend, it should be much easier for me when weight painting. I generally try to keep my meshes under 15-20.000 polys.
  21. Hello.Lately I keep seeing clothes that are very high in triangles, polys and vertices (over 40.000 in general, and then some that go over 150.000),but they look really good and are very detailed. Having said that, I noticed that their skinning (I hope I'm using the right term) is really good.Especially skirts - I tried skinning a low poly skirt and a high poly skirt.Surprinsigly, the high poly one had a massive impact on skinning - it moved smoothly along with the avatar. The low poly one,no matter how many areas I weight painted, simply wasn't moving smoothly. I am a bit confused. How many vertices/tris/polys are we supposed to have on a mesh, in order to make it work well with weightpainting but not let it impact SecondLife negatively when it comes to performance? 🤔
  22. Massive thanks ,that's very nice of you!
  23. @Rolig Loon@Lindal Kidd Thank you. Guess I'll make a unique banknote then as I definetely don't want to pay a fine or end up in prison 😁. My intention is to make products that look as realistic as possible...because that's what we all like to see. I do like to check and ask when I'm not sure, just to avoid breaking any laws or terms.
  24. @Lindal Kidd @Rolig Loon @LittleMe JewellOoh, I see. I didn't know where to look as I checked the marketplace and found lots of products using textures from real currency. What if I make a banknote that represents the linden dollar currency? Would that be ok or would it be a problem too? 🤔 Note: replied from my alt by mistake.
