  1. @Rolig Loon Okay, I will try that. Thanks for the tip! 😊
  2. @Quistess Alpha@Wulfie Reanimator Okay, I understood most of the info except I don't know how to put that into practice as I only know basic particle creation using Firestorm 🙂 I guess I gotta find learn more about particles before I attempt this 🤔 I love particles but I find them sooo difficult lol 😭
  3. Or,similarly I guess I can create a mesh circle around the rose and just use a script to animate the texture into spinning 🤔
  4. @Fenix Eldritch Thank you very much! I'm getting a syntax error though, I guess I'm doing something wrong. Deleted all the orange lines but it still won't let me save it.
  5. @Rolig Loon @Fenix Eldritch Thank you both. Yess, you got it right! I have attached a visual of what I was describing I still cannot get it to work on my own (as in I cannot seem to get the values right manually in the Firestorm editor).Would you both mind if I use the script you provided me with in my creation? I will credit you in the description
  6. @Rolig Loon Will definetely give this a shot, I have previously tried the cone angle but didn't succeed to move the particles away from source.I shall keep you all posted with my progress !
  7. @Fenix EldritchThanks for the info. I am basically creating a mesh rose which I would like to have a heart particle that circles around it. Smooth, gentle motion.
  8. Hello. I am using the Firestorm particle editor, trying to make an 'aura' like particle script. I can't get it to go in a circle motion, it will go sideways or one way but that's it. Is there a specific script that generates it, or is it all about choosing the right pattern/values in order to define its motion? 🤔

    Low poly fur

@Fluffy Sharkfin I never knew there are different ways of creating game-optimised hair. I'd like it to be a mesh, basically I aim to create mesh models that haven't been created yet 🙂.Something unique. I thought about using alpha masking too, as I often find Alpha Blending causes conflict with hairstyles.Thank you for the info!

    Low poly fur

@ChinRey I believe tris means triangles, right? I'm quite a newbie to 3d content creation/Blender. Made a few things so far but I like to challenge myself in order to learn. Never made a hair, but there's a tutorial on YouTube. I'll try and see if I can get anywhere with it 😁 ! Thanks for the tip!

    Low poly fur

Hello. So I looked at different Blender tools/modifiers/techniques, but couldn't find an answer. Therefore, I'm open to tips/advice/suggestions.🙂 How can this style of messy fur be achieved in a low poly version? Or is it even possible? 🤔
  12. @Flea Yatsenko Yeah, something like that.I personally chose SL over the years whenever I felt down, as I always found something fun to do - as a bonus, I also learnt how to play cards! 😁
  13. @Flea Yatsenko That's true. I noticed when an economy/ a situation is tough in RL, people seem to spend more time in SL. I believe it's a psychological escape - which is good! Rather than having a depression, you're better off spending time in SL. Plenty of things to do here.
  14. @LittleMe Jewell So that is the cause! Glad to know it's nothing serious. Thanks hun! @Meadowcat Littlepaws Pfew, what a relief to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this. I thought it was only me and that I was doing something wrong !
  15. Hello. This might come as an odd question, but as I find it quite unusual, here it goes... Is anyone else having a sudden drop in marketplace sales lately? I've been experiencing this for like 3-4 days now and it is still ongoing. My sales used to be pretty consistent. Is it related to SL experiencing performance issues, or is it just the holidays? 🤔
  16. @arton Rotaru @Salt Peppermint Thank you both for the tutorials/tips! That came in handy!
  17. I actually struggled with this part. Yes,those are identical. I unwrapped one and tried transferring the UV map for the rest of them but didn't succeed as I couldn't find a tutorial showing how to do assign 1 UV map to duplicates of the same object.I am still looking for a way to do this as we speak.
  18. @Fluffy SharkfinThanks for the advice, Fluffy. As a beginner, I'm still learning as I go. I pretty much learnt the basics, creating normals and rigging are the last things I got to improve. For now, I'm baking high poly to low poly, using Substance Painter as I find this to be the easiest way. The only downside is that I have to unlink my whole object and bake each piece (e.g. jewels on a necklace) individually - which takes some time.
  19. @Jenny Ashland Okay, got it. Thank you for the tip! 😁
  20. @Jenny Ashland Is it the same quality you get when baking high poly to low poly?
  21. @Jenny Ashland I had no idea you could use Photoshop for that! Thanks for the tip, that should come in handy and save my time 😁
  22. Thanks for the tip, never heard of XNormal. Will have a look at it. I originally wanted to place everything on 1 UV map only, but then I thought that customers might want to change the color of the buckle or the diamonds via HUD and so I made separate UVs.
  23. @arton Rotaru @Quarrel Kukulcan Right,so here are 2 screenshots. I managed to bake a normal map that isn't messed up anymore in Blender. However, I can't seem to get my head around this issue. So long story short: my mesh is 1 object with 3 faces (the hearts/buckle which share 1 UV map together, the collar and the diamonds on the buckle with 1 UV each). Now,why is it doubling the hearts as well? Would I have to separate and bake each face individually, and then join them all again into 1 object? Sorry if I'm confusing you, I'm not quite good at wording my Blender work yet as I'm new to this Substance Painter: Blender:
  24. @arton Rotaru In Blender it includes green, yellow broken-like pieces onto the bake map. In Substance Painter it paints the detail once again onto the normals (I made a choker with studs,it bakes the shape of the studs once more onto the collar piece itself so they are kind of outlined by another pair or squashed studs).
