  1. I had those chairs already....but that table is a find! It goes with those chairs really well.
  2. Gabriel, a lot of skin brands now use the Velour body skins. I suggest you get the demos of the body skins from Velour for your body type and try them on to see which tones you like. Maybe start out with buying just one of their body skins, your favorite out of the skins you try on. Then, perhaps buy a sale skin or two in that tone. There are a number of skin brands that participate in weekend sales. Trying out a few of the sale skins will confirm if that tone is really the one you like for your avi, and by starting with only one body skin tone you can keep your costs down. Skin brands (head skins) frequently on weekend sales (noted if they do NOT use Velour tones). There will likely be some brands I am missing, so everyone, feel free to add what I've missed. Velour - mostly female, sometimes male Gloom - often unisex/available in both male and female Velour tones as well as their own skin tones Metahumano - more male than female Little Foxy Beauty, sometimes male, sometimes female Glam Affair - female, weekend sale items are "basic line" skins with their own tones, not Velour Ives - female Tres Beau - female Voguel - mostly male, sometimes female Guapa - female Eudora Beauty - female, sometimes available in Velour, sometimes only their own tones Be.Raon - female, usually Velour nonnative - female, usually Velour Nuve - female, not Velour PUMEC - Female, recently updated to Velour but some skins may be only in their own tones Koonz - female Poppet - female Heron - female, some available in Velour tones Dernier - female Sugarose - female, recently updated to Velour
  3. Maybe a good percentage of those PP members got the membership for the other benefits, like the free texture uploading and land allowance?
  4. Sansar going mobile? Now, that's a surprise. They've been so about powerful hardware. They don't even have a Mac version.
  5. Just a reminder to look in your inventory..I think a fatback of that sofa was on sale at some point because I had it in the inventory. My fatback was PG and the sale items are Adult, so CasperVend didn't catch it.
  6. Gray, my avi is gray. But that's an upgrade from the orange cloud ten minutes ago
  7. I've updated my inventory technique a bit over the last several months. Instead of having avatar items at the top level till they are filed away, I now place them in one of two folders - [month] Clothing/Accessories and [month] Skin Hair Makeup. I keep two months of folders and then at the turn of the month, I file away the items in the earliest's month's folders. It is also an additional opportunity to review and ditch any clothing sizes, notecards, etc. that I don't need. I find this really helps because typically I am looking for recently released clothing, hair, skin, makeup, etc. when putting together outfits. The items I am looking for are typically in the current or previous month's folders. It is also better use of time because I am doing my filing in one or two sessions at the turn of the month instead of every few days. I also do a folder for all the giveaway items at every Shop 'n Hop, just to keep them organized. And, I think I am going to do the same for home furnishings now, just because this system has been so helpful for the avi inventory.
  8. Part of the quandary with Fantasy, I think, is that people vary widely on what they envision as a desirable Fantasy home (you know what you're going to get when someone mentions "Victorian"). Thn original Fantasy homes were very much in a set of stereotypical fantasy themes, but not necessarily "livable" as far as placing furniture, moving around inside (unless your avi was some kind of tiny creature), etc. It's not surprising to me that LL decided to create "livable" homes in a generic Fantasy theme for their new Fantasy regions. But then the folks who really liked the mixed, more pronounced, old fantasy themes are unhappy. Another possible issue is that the residents who advocated for Fantasy homes are a really vocal and enthusiastic bunch, but may not necessarily represent a huge percentage of the overall resident population of LL. LL may have over-estimated the demand for the Fantasy homes.
  9. IMO, Linden Lab has addressed the availability issue quite well at this point. It took some time to get there, but we are now at the point that you can get a new home immediately. If not in your first choice of theme, likely in at least your second or third choice. And if you keep hitting the land page, you will likely get your first choice of theme within a day or so. What is a little more (in my opinion) problematic is now we have two groups of people who are more likely to get "select" locations - the multi-account GOH players and the Premium Plus members. However, each of them is financially compensating Linden Lab for the privilege of acquiring those choice locations. The number of residents hat hold onto a high number of homes is actually very few. The increased availability of homes has likely cut into those numbers. A bigger issue I see currently is the lack of compliance with covenant which is, among other things, contributing to lag on the home regions. I've reported bunch of live CasperTech redelivery terminals in the last month or so, for example. One houseboat had over a dozen! There are encroachment issues, out-of-theme issues, and other excessive scripting issues. In addition, there are types of objects that tend to bog down regions even if they are not out of covenant (like rezzing a dozen animated animals on your parcel or having a whole bunch of animated trees and bushes). I've found the following types of regions tend to have more of these performance issues: houseboats (especially older regions), Newbrooke parcels near water (anything larger than a smaller pond) and Sakura parcels directly on the water.
  10. LOL, kind of glad that I've found a nice houseboat parcel and am not actively looking now, because it would piss me off big time to land one on the web page, only to find once I teleported there that it was given to someone else.
  11. So...were those new houseboat locations released? Ive been trying for one but I've only been rolling abandons in older regions.
  12. I could see this cute Moon chair being the highlight of some Fantasy home owner's backyard. It's at the Warehouse Event.
  13. There are a lot of home furnishing vendors participating in the Stellar event. Here are two notable examples - some animated mirrors from Refuge that would be great in a Fantasy home and a 11 LI upholstered bed from Chez Moi.
  14. Just went to Since. The animations aren't bad, and cheaper than Vista and Body Language - but some of their animations are definitely not curvy-friendly. Not even my not-that-big-girl curvy Legacy body which is more like a RL US size 14 or 16.
  15. Thanks. I have a few individual animations from Vista AO's, but it's worth going back to check on what's new there from time to time.
  16. I use Firestorm's built-in Animation Overrider and put in animations that I purchase from stores, in addition to animations from AO's that I already own. I'm not totally satisfied with the animations I'm using, and was wondering if I am missing out on some good animation makers out there. If you have some suggestions, please let me know. Most of the animations I have are from Go&See, OMY, Russkaya. and Stun. I am especially looking for realistic sanding animations.
  17. I'm glad to hear that the last one ended up happening. I tried to go to the middle one, which is the one that was cancelled. I second your recommendation! The first year I attended was in the peak of COVID when so many real-life events were cancelled, so it was especially meaningful that year.
  18. I think the idea about thoroughly documenting the build is a really good one. It helps with closure, and is an acknolodgement/memorial to your creative endeavor in furnishing the home. Personally, I've only had one LH most of the time. I had gotten one under an alt in a couple of situations - first, when certain home types were difficult to acquire, and second, to do a seasonal/holiday build when my main LH was not an appropriate style. For example, last Halloween I wanted to do a prepper/alien invasion theme and my LH was a Newbrooke. I got a Log Cabin for a month using an alt. What prevents me from acquiring more homes? The following is my personal viewpoint... First, time. I have a full time job and a full life. I need to budget my hours in SL. Second, money. And undergirding both of those is core worldview/beliefs. While leisure and rest, as well as creative outlets, are important on the life pie chart, they need to occupy only an appropriate slice. When that slice becomes too big, other areas of life suffer.
  19. Ah. I've made a few edits and here is the current face shape, along with that skin. I think going closer to mid-range in the skin tones helps. In Velour terms, I'm talking Rose Kiss. I've got bodies that are lighter - Porcelain, Valley, Snow in Legacy and all those plus Icy and Dracula in Maitreya. The designers have more difficulty getting dimensionality in the lighter tones. Ironically, I think Dracula tends to look more dimensional than Icy and Snow. EEP settings can help a little too. Here you see the Elsa NF Peach on the head and Velour Porcelain on the body. Yeah, the lips need more work for me too.
  20. @caraledevigne, is that still the Elsa skin? Which shade?
  21. Has anyone else had issues with Raven having a very pointed chin? I've been trying everything I can think of in the sliders to create a more round face with it.
  22. I remember one of the one-story models possibly having a u-shape? They could likely use that whole footprint (the rectangle) for a two-story model. They could also do a full two-story based on the Winchester footprint.
  23. But...but..but...there were a lot of add ons for the traditionals that increased the footprint. I don't remember a single one I used that had trees poking into it.
  24. Houseboats were gone most of the weekend. I found a nice location today, but it was an abandon from an older area.
