  1. Good question, @Istelathis! I notice that some games are particular drains on my iPad (I don't play much on my iPhone). For example, the Don't Starve series. I would be interested to know if the SL Mobile viewer is also a big drain.
  2. So we don't rehash everything again, how about reading the thread? If you just want to see the most recent news, start a couple of pages back on page 8.
  3. I can't speak for everyone, but IMO those of us who don't yet have access still want to know about people's experiences, as long as it doesn't violate an NDA or something similar.
  4. Thanks, I'll play around with different skins from those brands. You're right about the wrinkles...with a younger, smoother skin you can't really get it above 40yo just by using the wrinkles, face shape, hair/bases etc. I think your first one looks a bit older, and with more prominent wrinkles and a more dull/grey hair shade, I think could push to 50's.. Add an older hair style/base perhaps with some balding, and you can get it even older. Of course, not every guy has got the hair loss. My dad had good hair density till his death in his 90's and his hair was dark till his early 80's. I'm having a challenge finding the right hair base. I got one yesterday from Volkstone what was very short shaved, that's not so bad but I'm continuing not look.
  5. Yeah, I just realized that Izzie's has frown lines and forehead wrinkles for male EvoX heads now. That helped some. I did add to the bags under the eyes, and the jowls and double chin. Also made the eyes smaller and more heavily lidded, and the mouth smaller and slightly downturned. So, some progress, but there's still a ways to go.
  6. I'm pretty good with female shapes, but have had a lot less experience with male ones. In fact, this is the first one I've even remotely liked. But I'd li ke to age it another 10 to 20 years, and am not sure how to do that. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks, Eddy - time to get my male alt (planned for my hubby when mobile is released) over to the event.
  8. It's Coco Matrix, I don't think it's the same as Coco. It is a very nicely textured set, but rather on the expensive side (it will set you back like $L1000 for the entire outfit.
  9. As a lowly "only" Premium user, I will just sit back and continue to wait... But considering the information we have so far, it appears there is one big thing we can all do to prepare our accounts for mobile. Save outfits. I son't frequently do that, preferring to browse my inventory and put together something new each time. But it appears that for at least the near future, we won't have direct. access to our inventory. We will, however, be able to change our avatar to different outfits that have been saved (correct me if I'm wrong on that detail). Anything else the need to prepare for? Do we need to, for example, make a list of landmarks instead of either pasting in a SLURL or clicking on a link in a browser?
  10. If you have Test Flight already installed for another app, do you need to uninstall and reinstall it? I got it a while back to test another app. Not that it matters anyway, at least right now.
  11. I sure hope so! Dear Santa Patch, As always, thanks for all the hard work from you and the Moles this year. I have so enjoyed "living" in the new Linden Homes and it has kept me an active Premium user ever since they first became available. My Christmas wish list includes one or more new 1024 themes, especially Trompe L'Loeil style modern beach homes with wood, stone and lots of windows! Please don't forget about us "regular" Premium folk in the quest to gain more Premium Plus users.. And that goes for the testing on the mobile version as well. Yours respectfully, , XOXOXO Trinity
  12. Someone's gotta say it...it's disappointing that the alpha is only available to Premium Plus, and even then only for members that are selected after applying. As a Premium member, I am paying for Second Life membership too. And I spend more time on my (Apple) mobile devices than my computer. I would be an ideal tester, but like everyone else these days, there's only so much $$ to go around, and PP+ is outside my budget.
  13. I've bought a few, usually when they're on sale. But I have so many at this point - 9 female (3 of which were gifts) - that it would take something rather different for me to be interested in purchasing. Possibly a more mature-looking female head.
  14. Got most of what I wanted, but the following appear to be broken/overloaded: Avi-Glam, Amara Beauty, Doux, and Stealthinc. when will people ever learn that these type of events are not the place for sparkly poofers and gigantic attachments?
  15. Yes, C88 had a lot, especially in the main level. Up on the balcony, there were a few notable holdouts...like Emery and Fashionably Dead.
  16. This outfit isn't inexpensive, but the textures are very nice. Coco Matrix at Unik. Of course it's one of the few LaraX items at that particular event (which has a lot of stuff made from full perm meshes), but it's right up front if you're interested.
  17. They're pretty enough for me to revisit going to PP+, but is it really worth an extra $150 a year to me?
  18. Aren't the Japanese homes non-Americanized? Also, does anyone know if there have been hints about when the new homes will be available?
  19. is this the same event that Velour participates in every year? If so, there might be free body skins coming...
  20. The Shop 'N Hop Christmas Event is open to the public today (see https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/entry/14556-your-guide-to-the-2023-holiday-shop-hop-including-early-access/ ). For those who don't know, it's a good idea to subscribe to the Second Life Birthday group and get early access to these events...it's a lot less crowded. At every Shop 'N Hop, almost every vendor has a gift available. There are gift cards to fashion stores and gifts for your avi, as well as home furnishings, vehicles, etc. I haven't even begun to unpack, but wanted to note a couple of things: Velour's free gift is a (face) skin for EvoX There are not many items for sale that include LaraX, and I only found (so far) one gift that included LaraX sizes.
  21. Just want to add, even is you are not a frequent purchaser of ValentinaE, this outfit is worth a second look. One of my issues with VE is that the textures often seem a little flat, that's not the case here at all. IMO it's a lovely, more modest, outfit. With any body, you may have to alpha portions of the legs, but that's par for the course with a narrow midi or maxi skirt.
  22. It's good to see so many creators at recent events already on the LaraX bandwagon. I think it's only a matter of time till the rest get on board (Coco and Amaias, looking at you!)...with the possible exception of those brands (mostly Asian and Asian-influenced) that dropped Lara entirely for just Legacy and Reborn.
  23. So glad to see the Ison top from Dubai even is already updated with LaraX & LaraX Petite! I'm wearing the Legacy pants, and yes, the shape is quite close, although the rigging is just different enough that you need to use alpha slices. That's good news for us who are waiting for more pants to be available. This was my Legacy shape with very little changes.
