I've heard of farewell threads. Never heard of a resident stating they were coming back. Should I block you in-world now or shall I wait.

but saint dude not send im
You sure have a negative attitude to what SL is all about. Sorry but I have met quite a few "dudes" that can carry a conversation and trust me they are in no way "saintly"
Maybe you've never experienced a mature conversation in SL . You'd have to get rid of that chip on your shoulder first though.

I didn't read all the comments as it looks like someone took over another thread, again.
My thoughts are I just close the box and don't respond. Most only say hi anyway and expect you then to carry on the conversation. Not happening.
But if I shut them all off it would feel like I was in SL alone as my friends aren't always on. Besides I hardly ever get IM's to begin with.

I've been looking for more creative outlets and ended up settling on a virtual scrapbook. This project has been really helping me come out of a creative slump. My next spread will feature some of my SL friends and I had the idea to take photobooth-style pictures with them to add to the scrapbook. Before I take pictures with others I tend to take test pictures to see if the idea translates well. Here are my tests shots for this little project.
What are you using for your virtual scrapbook?

I agree. Warning any potential partners about the situation, then fully ignoring the person creating these pictures is the best that you can do. The more you react the more the "stalker" will feel compelled to do it. If you ignore them completely, they will get tired of it eventually.
I'm not even sure I would warn any potential partners unless you were positive they would catch wind of it. If someone told me that I'd hesitate to even become involved as it sounds like a lot of drama. Just like in RL don't talk about your ex to new interest or on a date.
-
They aren't faking pictures of YOU. It's your avatar which you don't own any copyright to it or can prevent anyone from scanning you and figuring out how to look exactly like you.
Also, what do you care if they are sending things to your EX partner in SL. He's an ex. Does it really matter.
Everyone else said anything else I wanted to point out. Maybe we should open a VS thread? (I'm kidding!)

Pssst.."cannabis" in SL isn't real. Its depiction doesn't break any federal laws.
LOL, well she brought up it being legal in the state that SL has it's headquarters so I wondered. Sex isn't real either in SL but some can break laws.

I think Rowan has provided the best answer, but I just want to add that growing and selling cannabis is legal in California, the state where Linden Lab is based, so I doubt the officers would view this activity as something that would have to be on an Adult region. I've seen other simulated drug use on Moderate land as well. ( The peyote trip at Tablau is cool.)
Is what is legal in SL based on California law? I'm just curious since even though it's legal in California it's illegal on a federal level.

Example, RL "thread count" (for sheets, fabrics) could equate to "# triangles" in SL.
I read something somewhere that thread counts are a farce to sell more expensive sheets. I'm pretty sure Target has all the same quality though. lol

Wouldn't it be nice if LL put an banner on the marketplace? Something like...
Please be aware that due to recent changes and to accommodate for PBR, a new feature, you may see a change in LI up to a 15% lower than stated on the marketplace item for sale. This change affects yada yada...We would not expect all creators to specify this change in all their listing. Thank you for your understanding

Wow! That exactly the reply that you strongly criticised when someone replied in your thread. You even wondered why they bother posting. I'm astonished.
It was a joke. Lighten up! and another for my block list.

You didn't ask for a solution and yet 2 people gave you one. Neither of them answered the question in your post and yet your response to the first one was very unkind.
Actually they did answer my question. I revoked my ownership in the group and @Rick Nightingalegave me that solution. If I didn't want a solution why in the world would I post on the forum? "Contact support" is not a helpful response and IS rude for a resident group set up for discussion on Second Life. I'm pretty sure I could have figured out that contacting support was an option before posting on here. Unkind? Hardly.

The last couple of days, when I log in, I'm flying, and I know I logged out standing on the ground.
Anyone else have this happening?
Contact support. How do you expect us regular people to know the answer. or maybe someone will come along and nicely explain it or have some ideas.

Has anyone found this to be a big deal yet?
Or even something of a deal?
I haven't, but maybe I don't know where to look?
It seems that to offset the increased land impact of PBR (who knew!), they lowered the weight of mesh uploads.
So...
I saw an increase in my Linden home. I think about 30. 30 prims is 30 prims. Even if that needs to be used to offset PBR they could have given nothing. Some people are never happy, even when given something for nothing. SMH

I gave you the answer on how to fix your issue. Contact support.
Us normal residents don't have "god powers" to fix your problem.
You need to learn to say "thank you".
Actually @Rick Nightingale did solve my problem. Very quicky I might add. Try not being so rude.

I think you can revoke owner role on yourself (even as the group creator) if at least one other member has the owner role. That's not helpful if you didn't make anyone else owner as well though. If you did, perhaps you revoked yourself by accident. Not that I'm saying SL can't mess things up without any help from us 😆
I think I did do that. Is there anyway to get it back. Can the other owner make me an owner again? Also, thanks for your helpful response.

Is anyone having issues with groups today? I created a group today and I'm still in the group but I'm not an owner anymore. Just a member and an officer.. Seeing as you can't remove an owner it's strange.

They don't have to change their ads if they don't want, but it would probably be in their interest to do so.
It's kind of like saying, "Now with fewer calories,!"
Not sure who would complain if not updated. It's only really in the creators advantage.
Imagine someone saying "I bought this thingamajig and it has less LI than the ad states! I want a refund!!!!"
Yes a joke but you get the gist. LOL

I always make it a point to stay well below the limit, so it doesn't really impact me. I'll typically stick to around half of my allowance, the remaining half are available when I want to goof around in my skybox while building things. I am curious how much lag this will cause though, and am glad that I recently purchased a new computer if it makes a significant difference. I wasn't here when they upped the allowance before, and am unsure if that had much of an impact on people.
I got about 30 extra on my linden home. Hard for me to stay below my prim allowance in a linden home.
