  1. Granted that you remembered to make a nail appointment, but you made it for me. I wish you had prepaid for that nail appointment.
  2. Best way is to use the land search tool in Firestorm. Not the Linden Web tool. You'll learn how to filter for what you want, and can then sort by L$ per square meter to find some incredible bargains.
  3. Granted, you are more dedicated to your dreams, but along the way you learn you need to wear a nicotine patch to bed to bring them to their fullest. I wish people on the forums weren't so meanspirited.
  4. Granted, you can sleep, but you choose to stay up playing wish games instead. I wish it was December already.
  5. As you note, there are a lot of old services of that type around. Just put in your search engine: name2key database
  6. Well, I answered the question that was asked. Making clothes isn't really a beginner topic. In the basement of the old Governor's Mansion on Clementina there is a 2003 photograph of a very famous avatar wearing a grid to figure out where to paint clothes on their Ruth base avatar. One can do the same thing today, and look like 2003. Anyway, if the OP is interested in learning Creation, I recommend the OP hang out in the "Creation" Forum: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/122-creation-forum/ If the OP is interested in dressing up their avatar, I'd recommend the "Your Avatar" Forum: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/318-your-avatar/ In this forum, we specialize in: Several program allow us to paint in 3D now. I mention Blender in this category because it is free and provides a competent swiss army knife blend of so many 3D tools. I recommend against people spending years of their life getting good at doing things the old SL way--that is painting flat UVs in PhotoShop or GIMP. There are so many better tools available now that let one work directly in 3D.
  7. Thanks Molly. I finally got all the way through the 6 pages! Wanting to add this about the old LindenWorld from 2001. You can get a Primatar Avatar at the SL Historical Museum over on secondlife://PHOBOS/229/151/33. Backstory: https://secondlife.com/destination/sl-historical-museum
  8. Yep. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/History_of_Second_Life I see all the chatter about this being too expensive. Not so. It will sell like hot cakes. I have some one name alts that will be getting a last name. I have a two-name alt with a first name that seemed like a joke at the time; I'll get her a new first-name if I can keep the old last-name. I thought I read or saw on one of the meeting videos that they were considering letting people change their first-names only if they wanted to keep their existing last name (resident or otherwise).
  9. This has probably already been answered, but the function is: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlRequestUserKey Example code is on the wiki. Someone will write a version that pops up a text box for you to paste in the old username soon enough, but I imagine that the big vendor server systems like @Casper Warden 's and others will handle it for you behind the scenes.
  10. Granted, but your pistachio macaron is made of plastic and smells like polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Star light, star bright, First star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have this wish I wish tonight.
  11. Question was "Extract the textures from mesh objects and put it on a system layer cloth, is that possible ?". Answer delt with the question of possibilities, not ease.
