  1. Don't you know? We are all clones of her. lol jk. I totally had to say that.
  2. Than who said something about collecting stamps or gamifying like that.
  3. That is why I stated her idea was not the best, it is complicated and you would have a lot of pissed off new users wondering why they don't have 42 group spots.
  4. I use the all three option in search, just so it's easier to find more stuff. Especially since a lot of sims in SL are either Moderate or adult, you rarely see G rated sims unless you are on mainland.
  5. To add to my point about complicated. Your way is just as complicated as the old new user experience thing. We need to keep it simple.
  6. Your way is way too overcomplicated, you have to keep it simple and fun. Going around the grid with a stamp book and collecting them. Just doesn't sound fun to me. I mean unless these people love collecting stamps rl.
  7. No need for a complicated grid hopping tutorial, where you only have 5 group spots and have to earn 37 more just going through the tutorial. Keep it simple.
  8. This is why I said a fantasy rpg style tutorial. It sounds more fun and less convoluted than having to grid hop, collecting stamps to earn more group spots.
  9. I would be mad that I had access to 42 group slots, but had to earn them. By going around the grid collecting stamps. Like I am not going around the grid with only 5 and collecting stamps to earn 37 more. No thank you.
  10. I was thinking that at the NUX hub we use it as a teaching tool. As Abnor said we learn differently. So having a choice of the Nux hub with videos and that thing. People who want to learn via a gamified tutorial such as that. Can click a board and be whisked off to the fantasy rpg style tutorial. Just don't make me collect stamps around the grid to earn groups. I would get so bored so quick.
  11. by stating that it is the primary motivator, that is being disingenuous. You are making a broad statement as a fact, that may not be true at all. The fact that people keep on telling you this, and you basically go. But no you're wrong. Is annoying. People build for a whole host of reasons. I mean sure sexual activities and even 3D sexual innuendos may be part of it. But again, there are so many reasons why people build.
  12. Can we just go with something more simplistic, I know you have probably played runescape or some sort of Fantasy game. Where it drops you in a tutorial world, or even Elder Scrolls dropping you in a dungeon and you learning stiuff along the way. Like when we initially pan in on the character, the character creation menu pops up and you have to work on your character.
  13. You really seem obsessed with sex, i mean each of these activities could have sex involved. But not eveyone will be going sailing, dancing and even exploring just to bang pixels. There are some pretty beautiful sims, that I just love exploring to look at the scenery and even admire someones decorating of the region. And yes it is part of every community, but it's a very broad assumption to say everyone is doing these actives just to bang pixels.
  14. I want my newb to go on this epic fantasy style quest that is made of a few regions, to teach people the basics. Then at the end, it gives you a portal to the NUX hub, where they can learn more.
  15. I wanted a runescape style tutorial, where they would use animesh peeps to basically give you quests to learn about how to use SL.
  16. There are probably more ways to lure in new users, than just SLex. And I think the OP really needs to understand that, and realize it just ain't about it.
  17. I mean if it's a lure, then post it as a jira. I mean I was gonna make a terrible fishing joke, but decided not to. Lol
  18. I am not arguing cause I don't like it, I am saying that it would not be the best idea to serve one demographic only and ultimately turn SL into a BDSM and sex platform. That is the reason why I am arguing, I am calling you out. Not everyone comes to SL for sex, if they do. That is totally fine, and they can do it to their heart's content. People come to SL for so many different reasons, people continually login for so many different reasons. Totally changing the platform or even serving only one demographic would make no sense at all.
  19. No it's not a lie, I can literally do or be anything I want, without the confines of RL. IE I can be an elf in this magical forest, in a fantasy roleplay. That is why I said your world, your imagination. SL is literally what you want it to be. So if you want it to be just about sex, go for it. If you want to shop, explore or even create. Do that to your hearts content. Your world your imagination is subjective, and individualistic. meaning you play SL how you want to play it.
  20. Here is an idea, if you want a purely sex platform. Why not build a platform using the Unity Engine, instead of expecting LL to totally overhaul the platform. That last bit is a reach, you really can't say with 100% certainty why people want to roleplay as vampires. I mean there is more than just Trueblood.
  21. Not everyone who joined watched True Blood, some came from other Vampire movies or shows. You are really making a broad assumption to why people did this. As someone once said, SL is your world your imagination. So stop trying to change the platform to fit what you want.
  22. I mean yea sure, but you need to turn that on in region or parcel settings. I don't remember. I was more meaning a needs system, like the user made ones that are in SL, being implemented into SL. That would make it more of a defacto survival game.
