  1. Hello Folks! I'm finally ready financially to start a project that I've been considering for a few years now: I want to create a residential community centered around Korean architecture & culture reminiscent to that of Busan, South Korea. This sim will have parcels for rent with a 주택 (house) and surrounded by a rather rural landscaping of "magical forest." I would like to start small and limit myself to up to 8 parcels initially. Depending on interest and feedback from residents, I would love to expand this to be a larger community. I don't intend for this sim to be a money-maker & am planning to pay the costs to build and operate out of my own pocket; I'd be asking below-market rates on every parcel, with additional donations welcome but not expected. Being new to this whole thing, I have many questions. Some agents I've talked to in-world have given me mixed information. This is my main question: I am debating between a Full Homestead, 1/4 Region or 1/2 Region. Which type would be best considering I'd start with up to 8 parcels of varying size? I'd like a Full Homestead for its size, but the fact that SL limits them to 5,000 prims is a huge drawback, as I have a lot of high-prim inventory for the project. I see some 1/4 full regions with 7500 prims listed at L$4499/week - this is very budget-friendly, but it doesn't seem like I would have enough physical space to spread the parcels. 1/2 full regions are quite expensive to operate, which is my biggest reservation considering this is all out of pocket, but I'm not ruling this option out. Thank you in advance for any advice and tips! Once I have a solid understanding of this and get the land, I'll be posting to the Commerce forum, as I will be hiring a landscaper and interior designer. Cheers, Sung-kyu Kim~
  2. Hiya (안녕~), Sung-kyu Kim here! I'm a Korean guy in the US (originally from Busan) looking for friends in SL who appreciate such things as Gaming, K-Pop & Korean culture in general. I am very lowkey and am just looking for some kind people with whom I can chill and have a great time. Shameless Plug: I am working on starting a K-Pop Club combined with a Korean town residential setting; if you are interested in settling down in a 집, or Korean-style home, and you enjoy the K-Pop scene - let me know! I'm currently gauging general interest but will be going forward with creating the sim regardless of feedback as it has been a dream of mine for quite some time now. Anyway, feel free to reply here or message me in-world so we can meet up! Cheers, Sung-kyu~
  3. Hi there! As the title suggests, I'm in the market for a new skin and head for my Korean avatar. I'd like to keep him looking at least somewhat similar to what I have now (see attached). This is my current set up: Body: Belleza Jake Head: Catwa Daniel Skin: Stray Dog Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
  4. I second that - are you also looking for male models?
  5. Hiya folks, Sung-kyu here! I am currently looking to hire an Interior Designer to spruce up my personal woods cabin! Please see the attached images for reference of the exterior & interior~ Here are some current ideas / concepts that I would love to see: Cozy "Adirondack" theme w/ cute black bears and other woodland critters. Rustic design with Buffalo Plaid mixed in. "Coastal" theme. Of course, you are more than welcome to pitch your own idea as well! Prims: 900 available for your use! Pay: I will pay your whatever your best price may be for the job given the size of the space you are decorating, plus a negotiated hourly wage, plus a bonus upon completion! If you can provide me with a reference to your experience in past designing jobs, that is a big plus but is not required! If you are interested in taking on the job, feel free to reply here, message me or drop me a notecard in-world. Thank you! Cheers, Sung-kyu Kim
  6. Hi there! I went to submit an application but the form said it's no longer accepting responses - is this accurate? Best, Sung-kyu Kim
  7. 안녕하세요! --> Hello! I'm Sung-kyu (or Sunggyu) and I have an idea for a Korean-themed residential community. Essentially, I would like to create a sim using both traditional and modern Korean architecture; I am thinking to use the traditional Hanok for residents' homes (see the attached pictures). By no means would this community be exclusive to just Korean people - all would be welcome! Of course, a majority of this idea is reliant on the availability of these types of buildings and materials within the SL marketplace and beyond. I will try to address this issue by hiring on an SL architect... is that what they're called? Anyway, we'll cross that bridge. Right now, all I would like to do is gauge interest in this concept: would you or someone you know be interested in joining a Korean-themed residential community in SL? Feedback and suggestions would be wonderful~
  8. Hi there! Are you currently available for just an interior design project?
  9. Hiya folks~ I am currently searching for an interior decorator to spruce up my cottage, which is not at all decorated. If interested, feel free to reply on this thread or message me in-world to discuss concepts and pay! Cheers, Sung-kyu Kim
  10. Hiya all! As the title suggests, I'm a DJ and Dancer, and I'm in need of some new dance animations. After browsing several of the "top" dance-makers in-world, I realized that I'd like to find and support newer up-and-coming vendors and find some cool new dances in the process. They don't even necessarily need to be "male" dance animations, as most of the ones I use are "female" ones (read booty dances). But as for now, I am stuck in my search of the dancers' holy grail. So I decided to reach out to the SL community and ask: Where do you get your favorite dances???
