My Daughter wants to dye her hair lilac. What is your favourite hair colour? I shall answer a question with a question. What colour hair is *your* hair? :matte-motes-bored: Platinum, according to my daughter. (A much sought-after shade, apparently, among those who haven't earned it through years of dedicated concern for others.)

  3. SLSupport Linden wrote: @ZoeTick: Not true; we are right here, working on SL every day and night. Governance never sleeps (but we do get cookie breaks). As I persist in saying, don't believe everything you read on the internet, much less these forums. (I thought about making a joke here about feeling like a beater at a grouse shoot, but it would get too complicated, go over the heads of most participants, confuse those with a slight grasp of BDSM, and probably get me reported for elitism.)

  5. Explanation of supporting argument: Most users don't look beyond the name displayed on top of the avatar.
  6. songbuddy wrote: i had no intention of being hostile toward SL or it's users Hmmm, so what exactly did you mean by this . . . songbuddy wrote: Needless to say i've cancelled my premium after just one day, and doubt whether i'll ever use this site again. Maybe you should think about what you are going to type before you start ranting. Having said that, welcome to the forums; that peremptory rashness and a cavalier attitude to punctuation and capitalisation means you will find many kindred spirits here.
  7. Calling all Friday dilettantes. Flash crowd needed at Ungren at 20:00 SLT. Wear a flower in your hair.
  8. Oh, Christo, everybody knows that Ruth is the alpha-terrorist of not only SL, but ALL major (and some minor) virtual worlds. The sight of her uber-plain visage, lack of feminine curves and unchanging wardrobe sends landowners - as well as support analysts, shareholders and sexist pigs - into a demented frenzy with the purpose of removing the threat to their masculinity/femininity (delete as applicable) and aesthetic sense before she can contaminate other, more profligate of their acquaintances. As you have found out, Ruth is a mercenary, working for the highest bidder, but doesn't get out of (or into) bed for peanuts. Derisory corrupt offers that wouldn't even buy her one of a pair of virtual redsoled Louboutin stilettos are of no interest to her. I believe that the answer to your dilemma might be to assemble an army of alt-Ruths, and descend upon the snobbishly fearful club, and drive the owners and security wild!
  9. If they wanted to reform suffrage it isn't proportional representation that is needed. Instead they should give one additional vote for every 10 points of IQ over 100, and disallow those with subnormal IQs from voting. That would get rid of the entire UKIP vote, most of the Greens and the majority of the Scots..
  10. songbuddy wrote: This is exactly what i'm talking about. No friendliness whatsoever, no help, no encouragement .. just stupid immature remarks. I don't know how many use this site, but if this is the sort of thing that greets a person,i can't see many using it. You don't always get what you deserve in THIS life, but you DO deserve what you get. I, personally, am delighted that you aren't going to besmirch this forum any longer with your negative pontifications. If you have any stuff, can I have it?
  11. It only JUST qualifies as a LOLhare. Since the incorrect apostrophe in it's makes it sufficiently illiterate.
  12. Thank you for your visit. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

  14. zomg! Did you ban yourself from your own forum?
  15. My Dad told me to stay away from red heads. My Mum told me it did not matter because it would be a different colour the next month. My Daughter wants to dye her hair lilac. What is your favourite hair colour?
  16. As the famous Times headline said about the small Chilean earthquake - not many dead. Although the death toll is likely to increase beyond the leaders of the Labour, Liberal Democrat and UK Independence parties as socialists and reformers across the nation (or should that now be nations) slash their wrists as they recognise the moribund nature of socialism, even in a post-recession economy. The main apparent winners, apart from Cameron, whose main campaign aim was to say nothing, so he could say nothing wrong, are the Scots, who will doubtless take their local landslide as approval to secede from the UK, thereby sparking an internal banking crisis as the new Scottish currency loses parity immediately against the Pound Sterling, and probably devalues by 50% when John Lewis marks up internet prices for customers north of the border, which they are currently not allowed to do. Of course, the other main winners will be the English, who will cut off those moaning northern ninnies, who don't seem to have noticed that their recent comparative affluence was a result of North Sea Oil and Gas, the flow of which has now almost completely dried up. If only there was an equivalent of the San Andreas fault along Hadrian's wall, so Wales could float off towards the Atlantic, and apply for membership of the USA, or perhaps to become a principality of Argentina. I realise that the globally dispersed participants of SL's forums are probably as disinterested as I am in British politics, but I thought I would update you so you might appear to be informed next time you venture out into the real world and come across a potential mate who has wasted their university time studying International Relations. If this post is useful, I am happy to accept contributions to the "Don't Vote - It Only Encourages Them" movement.
  17. irihapeti wrote: Chronometria wrote: Well, so long as I finally get a surname, i`m happy. it seems that is going to be quite a bit different in how accounts are managed. Going off what Ebbe Linden has mentioned when outlouding his thinking seems there is going to be a login account ID/name which may be secret from other people inworld (for LL authentication purposes) And then a main avatar (our inworld default) which may or may not have the same login name (as we choose) inworld. And then we can have multiple inworld alts under the same account so login with authenticator name. Pick inworld avatar from own list of avatars and go if this is how it works (and I dunno if it is) then is pretty possible that we can have lastnames or not on our inworld avatars as we choose. Each inworld avatar with own unique key as well, known publicly to all other users inworld (same as it is now) the unique key of the login account known only to LL + eta i would think that even if we only make 1 avatar (our main) and not bother with any alts then the keys of our main avatar and login account will be different Sounds a great mechanism for virtual identity theft.
  18. The team who should be dealing with this have been redesignated the Sansar Focus Group and are spending their working hours in a closely monitored but windowless room discussing what the name of SL V2 should be.
  19. There's more culture in a pot of yoghurt than in sl.
  20. Shake Yebut wrote: LL will be implementing a Logan's Run system when Sansar goes live, all accounts will be permabanned at 18 months. Oh goody! 16 more months than usual . . .
  21. irihapeti wrote: and a person who has been banhammered/cornholed/donked off every SL-related forum there ever was Not true. I have never had a problem in SLU, and the best SL related forum I know delights in having me as a member - but then, it's private, populated by people with a considerable degree of literacy, and self-moderated.
  22. You're a day late and a dollar short. And apparently not very good at forum search.
  23. Why would I want to stop? (Ooops, only read the thread title.)

What do you think? troll: balls!! algo: cut it out troll ok troll: coloured balls!! algo: [delete troll] troll complaint: I was actually referring to snooker you idiot!!!! algo: [yawn] A perfect example of the current state of these forums, involving an LWL posting a vain request for an unjustified compliment, a respondent who has expressed an honest opinion - as invited to, and a moderator who isn't interested in context and doesn't understand the concept of a discussion forum.
