There is a total misconception about living out sexual fantasies in a consensual and safe (i do not always call things being done in SL sane) online enviroment like Second Life and the View of Feminists that sex is rape per se. The true opression of women is not done by couples engaging in roleplay or any other play but by the ones who tell women how they have to act, what they may do and what not. So pick first best your own nose if you want to regulate their life to your liking. They come in here to fullfil their fantasy, thats all. There are also no victims in SL as no one can be forced here to act agains his will (as long TOS isn't ignored). Edits: I do not like some of the cheaply done grafic advertisements also. It's just to much and not erotic at all. I am not seeing such anymore that often and i frequent sex clubs a lot.

Even in a virtual reality like SL, you paid for your property. You pay for the land, for the things you have placed, for your house and you pay for your privacy because otherwise you wouldnt need a house but could mingle somewhere at the beaches or clubs. It shows great disrespect of people who intrude the privacy of others without permission. They prim in if you do not secure your privacy and sit suddenly next to you in the chair, starting to use the adult menu of your high quality adult furniture ... of course, many are naked from the start as they simply do not care about other people but only see themselfes and their fun. That is why you need to secure your property so that you and the people you invited to join you, can enjoy it.

I actually agree with you Barcode. Her posting was not about feminism but intolerance. Good to know that i am not alone ! I am since 9 years in SL and was for now more or less heavily involved in Roleplay (except a few brief breaks). Since i left, i am kinda drifting. My rescue is building things which i rip apart once they are finished (numerous clubs and all kind of other things). Boys do that when its raining outside and there is nothing else to do It is very hard to find a kind of community in SL which doesnt centers around XXX, bdsm, slaves, fairies .... each his own of course but i have seen it all and would like some "normal" people surrounding me. I am tired of sex clubs and gesturbators and as i dislike it to wear a tie, ballrooming isnt really a solution also. Besides, i always have the feeling to have to be very cautious because ... i really would just like to have a good time without having to explain a bit later that i am not up for any relationship *grins* So, yeah ... i have no clue what to do. I know its a little late for a response but i bought Torrey's software today and after a little fiddeling with it ... IT WORKS ! I am glad. I just took the ADAM Demo and i am tempted to buy it. Problem is, it has no body hair and i don't like that Thats the only reason i am hesitating. For the rest, i would say, it is the best i have seen so far (I still do like my aesthetic but its so impossible to wear normal clothes with it because of the damn muscular back)

Most gorean sims have markets. Just search for "gorean" and take a look for a free shop/stall. There is no danger to TP in Markets are always OOC.

I am not willing to join in and will for sure not buy occular rift or anything similar. I don't want to be unable to hear the doorbell, telephone or someone shouthing for me/talking to me in RL and also, i would not want to constantly wear a headset too. I am unsure if its an age thing ? The younger generation will be much more open for it all and i see a danger for kids by not being able anymore to keep RL and their virtual life separated ... which i find most important. I am 45 years old, up and interested at new technology but don't want to be more engrossed by all this as i am already.
