Personally, if it were the type of harnesses used in RL and on a toddler sized avatar, it would make sense. Most people don't harness their children past toddler stage in RL. A collar and leash on an adolescent avatar? Since a lot of SL equates a collar/leash to bdsm, I think a lot of people would find it somewhat disturbing. If you want to control your teenish child in SL, use the invisible option on the collar and leash.

Oh, I know. When my son was little, I had some plastic interlocking rings that I used to strap him in shopping carts if they didn't include the belt and if I didn't need a cart, I attached it to his belt loop in the back. Just one incident of your child 'hiding' in a rack of clothes and the ensuing feelings of dread, and you find creative ways to keep them close. People always commented positively. Which has nothing whatsoever to do with SL but yeah, an invisible leash on your children IS possible in SL.

The child is still an adult. In a few of your posts, you've alluded to this. It's really rather disturbing, tbh. You're basically saying the child 'accidently' became involved in AP roleplay? Those posts are doing more harm than good, IMO. Adults playing as children don't get a pass regardless of their reasons for playing as a child. It's almost like saying because I accepted a dance from someone and they started making inappropriate advances, that I was then violated because I enjoyed the attention. Personal responsibility. I'd step away. I can't AR because THAT isn't against the rules. Making advances on a child avatar IS a violation.

If LL does implement age verification, this is exactly what is already in place in SL. Underage RL persons are restricted to General. No change there. No nudity or adult situations in General. No change there. That's why I said age verification has nothing whatsoever to do with the new rules. Anyone NOW who is underage is probably NOT using a child-presenting avatar because they WANT to appear as an adult.

If it's one of the most prudish around, does it include visual adult activities? Does it separate the under age and the adult verified? ETA...I see you answered my question in a subsequent post. Does IMVU allow adult activities between age verified accounts IF one of those presents as a child avatar?

I guess when you put it that way, I've seen some nearly naked (and yes, mostly females) at some shopping events. Dental floss through your phat p**** and pasties count as dressed to some, though. Totally naked outside of shopping events in Moderate public access places? Not really. And as always, YMMV

Since your RL age isn't what the new rules are concerned with, I don't see how it would make a difference. I was directing my comment concerning minors having access to an adult platform. Most minors would probably be using an adult avatar, IMO.

Of.course they can but you did say you were running into naked people "all the time". The one sure way to avoid that, since we're concerned about the children, is to just do family trips to General. I'm really wondering what types of places you're taking them that have all these random naked people,.though. It's just not been my experience in 15 years.

Yeah, home is where I spend the most naked time...alone. Just how I like it.

BoM undies are great. As far as all these random naked people...there are quite a few fun places in the Destination Guide on General land. Things the kids would probably enjoy. I do. Then, if a naked person does arrive, you can AR them since naked isn't allowed on General at all and certainly not in front of the children. Save Moderate and Adult for.parent's night out.

Wow,.really? I visit multiple places including adult places from the Destination Guide every single day and I have yet to run into any randomly naked people. The last one I did see was at the Welcome Hub, strangely enough, and that's even a G rated region.

Take your bath when the kids are in school, wear your swimsuit sunbathing, mermaids don't have visible genitalia and females can wear those shell bras. Do you often run into random nude people when out with the kids?
