  1. ETA : It's Jodi Arias, contary to the title which mistakingly writes it as Aris as a surname.
  2. And you know what to do when they cannot stop, because nothing will be done about it and all you can do is to keep ignoring it the best you can. People are people, aren't we ? I mean an extra subforum on any topic will not change that either nor will it divert perpetrators diverting threads to their own cause.
  3. I mean I could start a thread called "Abuse and hyperbole." with the same effect. I won't.
  4. 1-strike Godwin : "Ich mache keine Politik mehr. Es widert mich so an." - Adolf Hitler .... .. but seriously .. eventhough you think there' s enough room for it .. no gunpowderbarrel storage in the galley, please .. ETA : For instance, I could immediately make this thread political by summoning 2 names, 1 reference in WW2 and a thread locked and evaporated since (called for by many posters including myself early on in the thread ) . You were there too.
  5. For those believing there are no rules on selling a product inworld : Rez a box, let it have a hovering text "Pay me and you will receive something", set it to pay and wait for the AR to arrive with you ( Yes, the box gives you nothing at all ). And secondly , will LL act upon 0 Linden, 1 Linden or any other amount or at all ?
  6. That is why direct sales are bound to rules and transparency by legislation which gachamachines are not offering. Besides, gamble and deceptive the way you use it, points to equal disappointment on the end of the consumer. The discussion however applies to how you sell and not to how you buy.
  7. The thread was basically reset to a certain point. I agree with it ( which is purely my opinion only, nothing else ).
  8. Nope. GachaMACHINES are the predatory tactic, as stated many times before. It' s not the product played for. It' s the gaming element of the sale. The items in itself can be sold seperately with any permission the creator prefers at any given price. Nothing wrong with that.
  9. What an absolute proposterous drivel you have come up with this time again, Prok. Really. I believe in honest labour, because I myself am the kind of user which inventory consists of a promillage of gachas compared the other stuff I bought ( sometimes entire collections of non-gachas ) which I payed for with my earned money in real life. There' s nothing religious about it. The gachas in my inventory are not even a promillage. It' s not SL entire economy. Honestly.
  10. As one believing in honest labour, I find it very disheartening to see demand for manipulative selling techniques based on fraud, no matter how playfully presented, instead of conventional means. We should not be teaching talent that income relies on this.
  11. The latter. They demand it by legislation, politicians provide for it.
  12. I'm trying to say that it' s not about us. It' s about parents demanding protection for their children online. That is the snowball outside of SL what started it all.
  13. Understand the legislation taking a hold on gachaMACHINES is like parenting control in routers. It's enforced, but perhaps never used and having this ban as a consequence for those machines. LL doesn' t perhaps need to comply legally, but they obviously want to. I.e. it' s not about what we enjoy as adults.
  14. Stand back, people. She' s having a dopamine overdose.
  15. I die more times out there , or in here, than Dragon's Lair' Dirk ever played anytime anywhere.
  16. It will stop being one if creators and merchants cease to sell by chance. It's their undying wish.
