This not only pertains to Second Life, but to general Internet usage too. I have this model of Wifi Router, brand new: http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/connect/routers/dir-655-wireless-n-gigabit-router I have it placed fairly high up in a central area in my apartment. I live in an apartment complex with several wifi networks close together. I was wondering what else can I do to optimize/enhance my overall wifi reception, since SL can be a bandwidth hog.

I'm looking for a quadruped wolf avatar, preferably white and rather large. My budget is 2500L and under. So if anyone knows anybody who sells such an avatar, just let me know.

I recently had to put my dog to sleep. I feel so overwhelmed with the emotions I'm going through right now. I could use some help, within SL [I am seeking help outside of SL too], on dealing with this tremendous loss. Any suggestions?

HP has options for all budgets. I recently ordered a customized, special ed Dv6 from them and so far, its awesome. Its not the best of the best, but for my money, I got a great deal. http://www.shopping.hp.com/ Now that I think of it: I would recommend, if you can afford it, to get an Intel i3 [at least, I've got an i5] processor and a dedicated graphics card. Dedicated graphics with 1GB would do nicely, but I think SL would run okay even with a graphics card that has 512MB dedicated memory.

So apparently my firewall was causing issues, even though I whitelisted SL and Firestorm. Hopefully its fixed right now.

I've tried everything suggested in that article. I'm thinking its either my ISP or something LL-sided. I talked to a few others with the same issue and they both have the same ISP I do.

I tried wearing different avatars, and no matter what avatar I am wearing, it happens. I haven't had this issue since before then. I neglected to mention that I'm not getting any kind of packet loss.

Since 11/21, I've been having issues teleporting across sim lines. And this is not just from one sim. I reboot my router, try a whole slew of solutions written about on here [Whitelisting SL and Firestorm related programs/folders, reducing my bandwidth, clean reinstalling both viewers, etc], my viewer and everything seems okay for a while, but after a while, I'm back to teleport crashing. At first I thought it was a Firestorm related issue, but I tried it out on V3 [to save my sanity mostly, I dislike V3, but keep it as a backup] and I've encountered the same issue on V3, but with far less frequency [Today it told me to teleport before I logged in, as it seemed to have issues connecting to the SL servers]. Before 11/21, I have not had the problem. Help? Edit: I have Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, with 4GB RAM and a AMD ATI Radeon Mobility 4100 GPU.

I got AMD M860G with ATI Mobility 4100. I was able to run it fine before, but now I get this error: ""Firestorm [and V3, I checked that one too] is unable to run because your video cards did not install properly, are out of date or are for unsupported software. Please make sure you have the latest video cards drivers and even if you do have the latest, try reinstalling them. " I'm not too computer savvy and I'd rather not mess around with my graphics card too much. Help? I'm sorry if this may be a double post, its just that this whole ordeal is making me headdesk.

I did see something on the wiki with regards to this, but it did not say anything about AMD graphics cards.

So I'm in the market for a new computer. And a lot of them come with Windows 8 or an optional Win8 upgrade. Has anyone encountered any issues with regards to running Second Life [Specifically Firestorm viewer] on Win8? I plan on getting a computer that far surpasses the minimal system specs to run it.

Caledon is a family friendly sim [i think]. The parcels that are currently available are listed in Desmond Shang [the owner, fairly prompt in dealing with issues, and friendly too ]'s picks. The neighbors there are generally very nice, but I don't think there are too many children in Caledon.

Before that it was simply enter your age and don't lie about it. So what's the difference now between then and removing age verify?

I would say so. Then try to get a review up stating that you paid x, but got an empty box.

The other day I saw a surgery table prop that had animations for both surgeon and patient on the Marketplace, but I lost it. I'm looking for such a prop for RP purposes, so please help [It has to be vintage]? Most medical tables seem to have animations for one or the other but not both.

There are swear jars, but this is SL... I'm sure someone can make or has made such an item.
