  1. The reason I have the parcel shown with Home icon on the map for 10 years (Part of FIYC's EPI Centre) is its location midway between Sea of Fables and Bay of Space Pigs It is also possible to take the green route, but there is a parcel with banlines, on a region corner, over openwater.. that makes that route more tricky. With careful placement of waypoints, and warning sailors... you can take a cruise through there.... but it is at limit of people's tolerance for that sort of thing on a public cruise.
  2. I think this route whilst longer is much easier and quite scenic. Where it looks like I have drawn a house... I am actually tring to show 3 alternatives.. over the years there has been security along one of them making other option preferable, but basically the three are all relatively easy, without leaving protected water.
  3. I don't think I have seen any, Are there any? Waterways around Nautilus in particular are notorious for gangs of the little feathery thugs... like these: Tough little pirates of the waterways, that will stop boats regardless of size to mug them! In fishing communities around the globe Cafe owners have resorted to all sorts of deterrents for them, Venice made water pistols popular... So if none in Bellisseria, and no obvious water pistols... what is the technique used to keep them out? Ultrasonics?
  4. Once you have done that tap your down arrow and the inventory view goes back to show the folder you were looking for.
  5. I have linked this tune before, but worth repeating. Alice Coltrane — harp, piano Joe Henderson — alto flute, tenor saxophone Pharoah Sanders — alto flute, tenor saxophone, bells Ron Carter — bass Ben Riley — drums From a comment:: "Turiya," according to the album's liner notes was defined by Coltrane as a state of consciousness—the high state of Nirvana, the goal of human life, while "Ramakrishna" was a 19th-century Bengali religious figure and also denotes a movement founded by his disciples. So presumably, this song is about the passage of Ramakrishna into the state of great nirvanic consciousness
  6. Some spiritual Jazz: This one is based on a traditional Indian raga. The name means “he who wears serpents like garlands,” referencing the god Shiva, and Cherry’s interpretation builds and unfolds in dazzling fashion.
  7. from 1968 Wes Montgomery × Road Song Tracks: A1 Road Song 00:00 A2 Greensleeves 03:53 A3 Fly Me To The Moon 05:57 A4 Yesterday 08:51 A5 I'll Be Back 12:17 B1 Scarborough Fair 14:51 B2 Green Leaves Of Summer 19:46 B3 Serene 23:44 B4 Where Have All The Flowers Gone? 26:55
  8. Wes died tragically just 3 years after this performance at just 45 years old.
  9. From 1960 Jimmy Smith – organ Stanley Turrentine – tenor saxophone Kenny Burrell – guitar Donald Bailey – drums
  10. So much emotion in this... Max Roach: drums - Coleridge Perkinson: piano - Eddie Kahn : bass - Clifford Jordan: Tenor sax - Abbey Lincoln : vocals
  11. It used to be quite common for people to make "tribute bands" in SL, where you would go and watch people dressed up like the band, dancing on stage with musical instruments to a soundtrack of a mix of live recordings of the bands music. They would often do flyers for promotion. I remember seeing a fully choreographed Madonna set at an SL Pride event that was especially well done. I don't see that so much any more, but I think that is more a fashion thing than any legal issues. Until your post it never even occurred to me there could be a legal issue. I don't recall ever promoting any DJing I have done in posters mentioning names of bands, I would be more likely to mention genres like Swing, Jazz Fusion, 80s or Prog Rock sets rather than specific band names. My understanding is that IP issues require the IP owner to make a complaint, and then Linden Lab would remove the content and notify the alleged infringer of the complaint and their rights to object. I think it would normally only be repeat offenders, or those that relisted things that had been removed that would face bans. Applied to your case i think it unlikely you would have a problem.
  12. Winner of the 2019 Grammy award for best Jazz album. Brad Mehldau is a relatively new find for me, and everything I hear by him wonderful and creative., stretching boundaries, fusing influences to masterfully create something new from all the elements. From the same album:
  13. Henry mancini with my favourite theme tune...
  14. Curtis Mayfield's Superfly album blew me away when I first heard it. Great funky feel to the album. Something else funky from same period.....
  15. I am not 100% sure what you mean Do you mean the list of landmarks in the drop down on the map isn't the same as the landmarks in your landmarks folder? Are you looking at the map in your viewer or web browser? I have never looked at the option, but curious now.
  16. I would like to see them add an area with galleries, perhaps organised by the Second life Endowment of the Arts. I am thinking perhaps a little harbour, some cafe space to grab ice creams and sit around drinking cappuccinos in a region setup with little art shops with exhibits and installations from the art community. Rotate the art every few months to keep it interesting and get people to return.
  17. The last few years my mind has wandered back to an album I had but couldn't remember who by... and finally found it just now. David Bowie in 1987 said it was the best band in the Uk for some time in 1987. Anyway putting it here to help me remember it for future and because it might be of interest to others. Great exciting mix of pub rock, punk and rockabilly.
  18. Despite this being quite old I only came across it recently.. Great album
