  1. I got angry once, at a perceived injustice, and I would have done better not to post that one sentence in those exact words, but the question was valid, and my reaction was the same as if I'd been slapped. After that one small explosion, however, I took pains to post reasoned arguments. I was not 'yelling' my case, and I do not believe I have harassed or abused anyone; I have actually mentioned my gratitude in this forum for the work of the staff. I have asked for answers to my arguments; as yet I have not seen them but it is by now only Monday, and I imagine there will be some discussion in the (virtual) office.
  2. @roseelvira Those of us who know you know that you never mean harm. I'm shy about hugging but ... for you.
  3. Some of us are here in spite of a disease. Yes, coronavirus is deadly serious, but that doesn't mean everything stops. You're here reading forum posts, after all.
  4. No-one can ask politely or otherwise in the pinned official post here as it's closed to replies. I thought that thread was for official announcements, anyway. I think it's probably time to highlight what is emerging as the salient point; there are some residents in Bellisseria, including me, who are not happy with the way some Bellisserian resident groups are being used and perceived. I have little knowledge of ones other than the Citizens' group, and I've mentioned in this forum what I feel about it; so have others. It appears, to those of us who are not happy, that the Citizens' group is being taken as the official voice for the continent, and certainly we have found ourselves ignored in group chat. We do not wish to be excluded from 'hints and tidbits' that rightly belong to us all. I'm sorry if those in the cosy world of group membership do not understand that, and I even wonder whether anything that might be learned is always passed on by those members who heard it to those who weren't present. A resident group would be equitable if it were made official and compulsory for residents, with all information by staff available via notices. If we unhappy ones continue to be ignored then we do have the option of removing ourselves from the continent, but why should we be put in that position? I don't enjoy raising such concerns or putting myself in focus for doing so, but for me this is a matter of fairness, and I would hope that it can be taken seriously.
  5. If you're aiming at me then you're wasting ammunition. There was nothing snarky in my comment, and it was not a 'rebuttal', or did you decide to ignore what I said about it not being a criticism? I did not say that you said Patch was royalty. You are misrepresenting me. As for making the rules, well, I fail to see what that has to do with my expectation that the money I pay Linden Lab will result in a professional service.
  6. If you think I'm not grateful for the existence of Second Life or the work of Linden Lab staff then you're wrong, and you're also wrong if you think I have no understanding of what their lives are like. I do expect the staff to be professional; don't you?
  7. Thank you for another really engaging topic, @Beth Macbain. I'm doing the things I normally do at home, pacing myself and trying to get two useful things done each day as well as enjoying my hobbies. I might be doing more chair dancing than usual, I'm not sure; I disappear into music to feel good, and sometimes to escape noise. Lately I've been letting myself feel more anger, which helps me focus on what needs to be done or said, and it gives me a rush.
  8. This is no criticism of you but I do not think of us as 'common folk'. We are paying customers, without whom Lindens would not exist as there would be no business. Lindens are employees. Granted, they have powers others do not have but that is just so they can do their job. They are not gods, or royalty, or anything to put on a pedestal. They work for us. That is something they and we should never forget.
  9. Spring Equinox, and the nights are turning to frost again. Buggrit.
  10. No reason why you should have known unless you'd been listening to my complaints for a while.
  11. It's kind of you to provide the hygiene guide, though it's not really fear of the virus, it's just that I've been almost completely housebound for years. My body needed time to repair itself after the worst of my disease. It'll never be as it was but I do believe I have more function and power than I had, and relapses are fewer and less of a problem. Age is competing with the recovery but I must see how much I can do. Certainly the supermarkets don't give a damn.
  12. I'm feeling determined. I can't get a food delivery from any supermarket at all. I do have a delivery pass from one that is now useless since many more people have started booking online. My only option is to try to get to the shops regularly by myself, so that's what I'll do. The weather is gradually improving so that will help. One thing that's really cheering me up is that ecologically things are much healthier just now with a reduction in the impact of humans.
