    i need help

Welcome to Second Life Answers, gypsy50 Please update your graphics card drivers.
  2. People who write defamatory remarks on their profile about other people more often than not only make themselves look bad. Ignore/mute/block him, and get on with your own life. He does not matter.
  3. Welcome to Second Life Answers. The script must have got into something you are wearing. But if you have removed everything you were wearing, then it is possibly in something called the Bridge. Do please look in your inventory to see if you are wearing a bridge. If you are, then remove it, and delete it from your inventory and relog. A relog will cause a new bridge to be created. Other answers may follow. Please keep checking back here.
  4. Dear MrCaleb Please excuse Echo from Phys Ed this week Unfortunately the time of the Pile On clashes with my UK schedule, and I won't be able to make this one. :matte-motes-frown: Love and kisses Welcome to the forums :matte-motes-big-grin-squint: /me waves at Perrie - and remembers I owe someone a msg.
  5. Thank you for the response, Maestro. It is appreciated.
  6. Welcome to Second Life Answers docmonroe Click at the top of your viewer's screen, where the name of the sim/land is visible and have a good look at the land details. If you have not got auto return set on your land, it could be that other people have placed objects up in the sky. There is a lot of information over on the official Second Life Knowledge Base regarding how to manage land, which you might find helpful too. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-parcel/ta-p/700113 **** If you wish to add more to this thread, you can do so by clicking on "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit".
  7. Dear Jopsy, please forgive me for chortling at the title of your thread. Live Chat won't be able to help with an issue that needs to be dealt with by the department who deal with abuse reports. Abuse reports are the only way, but you have to word them with a bit of Ooomph, ie that the self-replicating stuff may well be affecting sim performance. Then they should come running a bit faster to clear up the mess. Post the location here, maybe others will be able to come and back up your AR with some other ARs. The more the merrier, eh? :catvery-happy:
  8. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Spirit I would have thought that the offending items would have already been removed by Linden Lab, but do address your fears, as you have done here, in a support ticket to Linden Lab. (As you are getting an error message when trying to respond to an open ticket, make a screenshot of that error message, and add it to a new support ticket, to link the cases together.)
  9. Howdy, Maestro, Did the issue with the inventory servers over on Aditi get fixed? Several people have been complaining on forums they are unable to log in this weekend to the test grid.
  10. Thanks for providing all the information/screenshots. Have you tried adjusting your screen resolution? Setting it higher might get rid of those nasty jagged edges.

Use the land tool to see land ownership. This is the exact msg that I am getting. And "{ 238.478, 95.5729, 34.5984 } on parcel 'Grace Valley Ranch ' in region Burmilla" is changed to the location where I am currently. plz help Thank you for updating your thread, dontheking. As the location changes to where you are currently, then it is something you are wearing that is spamming you, so do follow the advice given in the other posts in this thread. Also, if you are using Phoenix or Firestorm viewer, it may be in the Bridge, so if you are, remove the bridge, delete from your inventory, and relog. A new bridge will be created on your relog and the spamming should stop.
  12. Welcome to Second Life Answers, nightclawer I'm not a user of Dolphin, although I am a fan of other third party viewers. As all of them have their own support, I suggest you see if this problem has raised it's head over on the Dolphin forums. http://dolphinviewer.eregion.de/forum/ Other answers may also follow here though, so please do return on a regular basis.

Its been 3 days now.. Here is my system info..... BUT THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE THAT I NEED TO SAY... my friend used my computer and entered in her SL account... and she could do it without any issues... so it;s just my account that keeps on logging out... It is very interesting that your friend was able to log in on your computer, but they did not have the same logging out issues. I wonder if you are wearing something - a HUD or scripted device - that may be conflicting. If information about your avatar is struggling to relay from the server to your avatar, this could cause a forced log out. I suggest you log into Second Life again, and look in your inventory library folder for one of the base avatars - girl next door for example. Replace your entire avatar by sliding the girl next door folder onto your avatar. See if you still have the logging out problem. If you do not continue to have the logging out problem when you are in girl next door avatar, then it must be something your avatar is wearing that is causing the logging out problem.
  14. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Charly Don't despair. It may not be over just yet. One of the reasons why you may be crashing when you do something like look at a profile in Second Life is that your system may be low on resources. When did you last do a disk cleanup and defragment? Check how much RAM you have available. Also, as Karen suggests, do a speed test, see what your internet connection and speed are like. There are possibly far more users sharing your broadband service than there were five years ago (as I have found in my home area). If you are using a wireless connection, you may be better off being hard wired. As for a lot of your friends having left SL, people do come and go for many different reasons. Sometimes, also, they get fed up and take a break. But I do understand how relatively small things can push you into believing all is over in SL - most of us have been there at some time or another. I don't believe it is quite "game over" for you. ***** To add more to your thread, because this silly Answers software does not have a "reply" button, you can do so by clicking on "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit". You may also wish to add your system specifications so we can take a look and see if there is anything we can advise an upgrade on.
  15. Welcome to Second Life Answers, dontheking Read the message properly - is it giving you a location, something like: "can't rezz (object) at Crescent 234,23,210, because the owner of this land does not allow it"? If you have a location in your message, go to that location, and see if you've left something behind there. (I did actually leave a camper van rezzed at a location, where scripts were not allowed, and kept getting a similar message until I deleted the camper van, no matter where I was in the world).
  16. Jaxan wrote: I'd like to upload a mesh object but I can't log in to the test grid Aditi. it just says "Logging in..." but never does. Does SL support users on the test servers or do we just wait until it's fixed? The SL Status page doesn't mention any problem with Aditi. I also checked http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Aditi_Notes but I can't see anything relating to this. I saw a thread about someone having the same problem yesterday but I can't seem to find that thread now. Thank you for any help. This may have been the thread you were looking for yesterday... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Viewers/Aditi-login-attempts-stuck-on-quot-Logging-in-quot-but-never/qaq-p/1767701/comment-id/5567 A bunch of us found we were unable to log in to Aditi on our main accounts to attend a the Server Beta User Group session, and it turned out it was something to do with some full disks on the Aditi servers. A little more about this can be found within the user group transcripts (which is where Nalates has got her blog info from). http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Beta_Server_Office_Hours/Minutes/2012-11-29 Solutions are needed, or at least an update, so I urge if you are still having problems with this on Monday, and would prefer to use your main large-inventoried main avatar than an alt on Aditi, seek out Maestro Linden inworld.
  17. Welcome to Second Life Answers, You can be anything you want to be in Second Life. Become age-verified, and search for this type of content inworld.
  18. A decent graphics card, enough RAM, and steady broadband service will all help you connect well with Second Life.
  19. If you have a search box on your start screen, just type in "system information", and you should get full system information. Or go to start, look for "control panel" and in "system and maintenance" you should probably find a "welcome center" as you're on Windows. Like this one.
  20. Thanks for editing and updating your original post, haleybug4499 Drivers for your machine should be available from the website. Here is the link... http://ca.gateway.com/gw/en/CA/content/drivers-downloads ... and remember, all of us started by not knowing anything about our computers. For Gateway specific questions, again their website can help you. (I have machines from Dell and Hewlett Packard, and for basic navigation questions regarding Windows Vista and Windows 8 respectively, those websites have been invaluable. For SL-specific questions, of course, I return here. )
  21. Welcome to Second Life Answers, hiryan Consult with the anti-virus software installed in your computer, which may be blocking this part of SL.
  22. Welcome to Second Life Answers, haleybug4499 There are several causes of lag; sometimes just updating your graphics card can improve performance. Maybe you are using a wireless connection. Maybe there is much more traffic sharing your broadband service now than there was before. A ping test would give you more information about your internet speed/quality. It would be helpful if you would go to "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit" to add your full system specifications. More suggestions and guesses will follow.
  23. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Lakoda By scripts, I take it you mean scripted objects. You may be able to switch off the annoying visuals of them to temporarily save your sanity by clicking on one of the menus at the top of your viewer's screen and derender particles. If it is your neighbour, you can have a quiet word with them? Or has your neighbour not got an auto-return time set on their land and so someone has taken advantage of that? ***** You can add more to your thread by clicking on "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit".
  24. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Mielikki That is quite likely the most peculiar thing I have seen lately in Second Life. What happens when you pull your view away from your avatar and then back in again? As no one else can see this happening, it's one of the optical illusions that can occur, rather than a bug. There may be other responses, so please do keep checking back here. Edited to add: If this only happens to you when you use Firestorm viewer, you may want to consult also with the good people in the Phoenix/Firestorm group inworld. ***** You can add more information to your thread by clicking on "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit".
