  1. Hello, make sure you have the latest graphics drivers installed, and the latest version of the viewer installed. For further help, please read: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail
  2. Hello, the Second Life viewer requires a high bandwidth and a modern graphics card to run smoothly. If you have that, you should update your graphics drivers, because it would seem to me that the viewer doesn't detect your graphics card correct. If not, you should use a light-weight third-party-viewer like Radegast: http://radegast.org/wiki/Radegast_Download With Radegast you can turn the 3D - view on and off as you like.
  3. Hello, the first thing you should check, is whether script-execution is allowed in the region (simulator) where you tested the whiteboard. If you see this symbol at the top of the viewer window (in the address bar), scripts are not allowed in the region or parcel where you are at:
  4. Hello, due to a (known) bug, the system to auto-play shared media (via script) doesn't work yet. I recommend using a streaming website (something like a free video streaming provider or any other ) or a webcast, to make sure that everyone is seeing the same at the same time, no matter when they actually join. Every user can choose individually whether he wants media to auto-play or not in his preferences, so there's no option for you to ensure that noone will have to clicke the board/wall/screen to start the playback. So: use a webcast host (like a free video streaming provider or any other) and just put the url to that stream-website on the in-world screen in Second Life (or do what Syaoran said, that way you could even use your own PC as an icecast server, with sufficient upload bandwidth).
  5. Hello, please update your (Singularity) viewer to the latest version: http://www.singularityviewer.org/downloads Make sure you don't have capslock active when you type in your password. 6. Hello, in the viewer just click the 'L$' symbol at the top right of the viewer window, your Linden-Dollar balance should get updated within a few seconds then. Here is the overview-page of your LindeX Exchange history: https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/history.php If you're having troubles receiving your money within 24 hours, please contact support at: http://support.secondlife.com/contact-support
  7. Hello, go to this page to check your account (try a different browser like Firefox, if it doesn't work): https://secondlife.com/my/account/ If you're having troubles remembering your password to log in, use this page to recover your password: https://secondlife.com/my/account/request.php To login to Second Life, you need to download the client software ("Viewer") from here: https://secondlife.com/support/downloads?lang=en-US ETA: To check your transaction history, there's this page: https://secondlife.com/my/account/transactions.php?lang=de-DE To check your US-$ transaction, go to this page: https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/process-credit-history.php And for your marketplace account, go here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/account If nothing helps, please contact support at: http://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/
  8. Hello, did you check your history on this page: https://secondlife.com/my/account/transactions.php?lang=en-US ?
  9. Hello, there is a request in the Second Life bug tracker to add more group slots, you can watch the issue here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7719, the current limit is 42 groups, which gets used up quite fast, in my honest opinion. But you need a current viewer to use all of the 42 slots.

    pregnancy

Hello eda, since all Residents in Second Life are real persons, there is no built-in pregnancy system in Second Life. If you want to make your avatar just looking as if it was pregnant, you can get accessoires for that on the Second Life Marketplace (click here) But you can have a registered partner in Second Life, see: English Knowledge Base - Friends and partnering Partnering Second Life couples can make their relationships official. Whether you're married or just connected, you can designate your partner on your profile inworld and make your relationship visible to the rest of the community. Note: Creating a partnership costs each partner L$10. Partnership is a vanity display for social purposes only does not alter inworld permissions, group abilities, support benefits, and so forth. For example, if you are on a Concierge account and your partner is on a basic account, he or she will not receive Concierge service. Partnering also does not affect your Second Life username. Nor does it entitle you to share their Second Life account; this is against the Terms of Service. For more information, see Sharing or transferring Second Life accounts. How to make someone your partner To make someone your partner, follow these steps: Go to the Partners page. Enter your Partner's First and Last Name. Type in your Proposal to your to-be partner. It can be a love letter, song lyrics, or whatever suits the both of you best. Click Send Proposal. Your potential partner is notified at the email address linked with their Second Life account. He or she has seven days to accept. Once the proposal is accepted, your names appear in one another's profiles. The partnership email should be received in seconds. Please check your spam folder and other email filters to make sure it isn't being hidden. If you receive a partnership request you wish to decline, you can do so on the Partners page.
  11. Hello, did you maybe mis-spell your password? See Second Life Knowledge Base - Login Failure You cannot log into Second Life from this location This error message may also appear as: Login failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer. These messages generally indicate you have been blocked from the Second Life servers by Linden Lab as the result of: Documented cases of fraud Use of Second Life by a minor Exceptionally flagrant abuse activity Note that someone else in your household may be responsible for this activity, not necessariliy with your account. If you believe that this is an error, submit a support ticket via the support portal. To help customer support determine what block has been placed and why, include in the ticket your Second Life account name and any Second Life accounts that log in from your location.
  12. Hello, your only option is to change the UI-Scale of the viewer (preferences->Advanced), but that would change everything, and not only the movement controls. Another (unsupported) option is to change this file manually: ...\SecondLifeViewer\skins\default\xui\en\floater_moveview.xml - use at your own risk!
  13. Hello, you can redeliver the item, here is explained how: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-Marketplace-store/ta-p/700191#Section_.4.1 (Maybe the customer declined the delivery.) The only other thing you can do is to contact support: https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/
  14. Hello, the confirm button is at the bottom right of the confirmation page right below the many advertisements. Make sure you have enough Lindendollar in your account. See also: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Shopping-in-the-Second-Life-Marketplace/ta-p/700189#Section_.1.4
  15. Hello, I'm sorry you cannot import Miku Miku files to bvhacker or blender. I did a quick google search and couldn't find a conversion tool. (Most pages about Miku Miku are Japanese anyways, which didn't really help : D ) I recommend using Qavimator from http://qavimator.org/ to create animations (or blender).
  16. Hello, please see English Knowledge Base - Canceling an account Canceling an account If you're thinking about canceling your premium account, consider leaving it active with a basic membership, which costs nothing to maintain. If at some point in the future you should choose to revisit Second Life, your avatar and your inventory will be here waiting for you. If you do decide to cancel your account: Log in to the Second Life website with your Second Life username and password. Go to the Cancel Account page. Click the Cancel Account button at the bottom of the page. Your account will remain open until your billing review date, as account maintenance fees are paid in advance.
  17. Hello, please see English Knowledge Base - Unreceived and accidentally discarded items Unreceived and accidentally discarded items Has it been more than 24 hours since you ordered? If so, contact the merchant, explain what happened, and politely request redelivery of the item. If it has been less than 24 hours, please be patient and check again later. If the merchant doesn't respond, you can submit a support case requesting redelivery. Make sure to include the order number and the exact name of the undelivered item(s). Note: If an item purchased on the Marketplace using PayPal or a credit card is not successfully delivered to you, the credit or debit will not appear in your transaction history, and the merchant will have no record of the purchase. Simply try to purchase the item again. If you accidentally discard an item, contact the merchant, explain what happened, and politely requestredelivery of the item. Often the merchant will understand and redeliver, especially if the item in question isn't "no-copy." Unfortunately, Marketplace deliveries, unlike items sent manually from another avatar, are completely discarded and can't be retrieved from the Trash.
  18. Hello, please contact support about the issue, only they can fix it: https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/
  19. Hello, did you test the new CHUI project viewer? It's the only one from where I've heard about similar crashes. You should update your viewer, probably. And try if using the regular viewer helps, download it here: http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ It could maybe help to delete your open_notifications.xml file, that's where the viewer keeps your un-read notifications, and if that file grows too large, a couple of strange bugs can be the result. Windows 7 and Vista The file is usually located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SL_user. If you install Second Life in a different location, the path is different. In any case, to get to the right place: In Windows Explorer, click the Start Button. In the search field (in Windows 7, it's labeled "Search programs and files" and in Windows Vista, it's labeled "Start Search"), type %appdata% and press Enter ↵. In the window that appears, open the SecondLife folder. Open the folder with your username. Windows XP The file is usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SecondLife\SL_user. If you install Second Life in a different location, the path is different. To get to the right place: In Windows Explorer, click Start button. Click Run. In the Run window, type %appdata% and click OK. In the window that appears, open the SecondLife folder. Open the folder with your username. Mac /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/SecondLife/SL_user
  20. Wow I don't know how this one got on my desk =D Maybe someone just marked it as "new"?

  23. Hello, change your password and avoid accents (á ó Ù Ò), then try again: https://secondlife.com/my/account/password.php?lang=en-US And of course change the password in the login field of the viewer as well.
  24. Quel spectateur utilisez-vous ? http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/
  25. Are you wearing any item that he gave to you? If so, this item could possibly tell him your location with a scripted Instant Message, but that's strictly against the ToS.
