  1. The one from this video. It had been in SL forever only this year I only found it once and it looked like it was being taken apart. Then after a week or two it was gone. I was hoping it was just being moved but suspect it is no more.
  2. Yeah-I understand some sellers not being around anymore. It does make me wonder where whatever money they might make goes. I know a popular furry avatar vendor who pretty much pulled up stakes and abandoned SL...yet some of their stuff is still for sale on their old Marketplace account. As far as outfits go it's just a little frustrating as I still prefer to wear a lot of older avatars and outfits. At least places like Bare Rose have always been reasonably priced. No price adjustment needed. As much as I love their outfits, though I wish there was a bit more variety and that it was more affordable.
  3. I was just looking up an outfit I bought for $900l back in 2009 and it's still $900l on the marketplace. The outfit itself was new in 2007 and while I still like it there's no way it compares to the quality of clothing creators can make today. There's a lot of old stuff around that people still charge a ridiculous amount of money for. My first shirt was a goofy pink shirt with a rooster and popsicle on it that was pretty much a basic circa 2005 shirt with a badly applied design. It's still in their shop selling for $75l. I know it's difficult for vendors to keep up on things sometimes but I can't help feeling like there's a lot of overpriced older stuff clogging up the marketplace.
  4. True, true. It's just a little frustrating to see so few options for male clothing that isn't abnormally oversexualized or cobbled together from the least-oversexualized feminine clothing you can find. It seems like every time I find a decent androgynous-leaning outfit it lacks mod options.
  5. I have the same issue with people who make items copy/no mod/no trans. Even when they do include some kind of hud to change the color I'd at least like an option to tint it a different shade. I was considering buying a mesh leather jacket but it had no permissions allowing me to deviate from the black/red/grey/green texture. You can mod your own clothing when you take it home from the shop. Why shouldn't you be able to do the same with your stuff in SL? Personally if I ever sold anything on the marketplace I'd make it full perms. That's how fed up I am with SL's permissions system. Once you buy something it should be YOURS.
  6. I can't help feeling like certain folks in this thread are casting a lot of judgment towards people who hang out in/use these places. For a lot of folks like me it's fun to watch avatars go at it. I like taking screenshots of my sexy avatars having sex and I don't want to have to go through the trouble of making a second account. If it helps someone get some extra coin more power to them. I get to enjoy myself, someone else gets a bit of spare change. I do see the issue with people coming in for a look-see but I don't get how it's fair to call them incels. Some people are like I was when I first found sl-still figuring themselves out and lacking confidence. It's not a crime nor does it mean you're not a good person. Anyways I still see a few around that seem fairly active. It's like anything else in SL-this isn't a popular platform anymore and hasn't been for well over a decade. There just aren't as many people around.
  7. SL has changed my life dramatically. It's not only helped me discover who I am and helped me make a lot of friends it's save my life. I'm so grateful I joined back in March of 2007. Thank you Linden Labs ❤️
  8. I've always imagined Zid graduating when I did-back in '92 hence why it has that old yearbook photo look. Created in Clip Studio. Laser background from https://laserportraits.tumblr.com/ Grainy overlay by https://www.deviantart.com/fictionchick/art/Grunge-Texture-Overlay-PNG-428805936
  9. I got 20 likes and all I did was take a goofy pic of my avatar standing in front of some amplifiers while holding their guitar. I don't participate in the forum much and until then i'd never posted a photo here. Plus my avatar is furry. If anyone was going to have reason to suspect people were ignoring my avatar it would be the weirdo kangaroo dude. Ultimately likes depend on who's around and whether they dig something or not. Different people are going to dig different stuff. I think you're taking chaotic randomness a little too personally.
  10. Today we gather to mourn Zid. To honor all the things he did. He was a friend who helped us laugh. His kindness was what steered his path. Though he at times screwed up of course to all our lives he was a force of good and cheer and self-love's way. We wish he could be here today. He'd want us all to smile and see the great things he knew we could be. A roo glam rocker. A grateful friend. Though your time with us is at an end we know you're out there in the 'verse. Guitar in hand you now rehearse with all the legends you loved the most. Rock on, dear friend. To you we toast.
  11. The issues are pretty obvious-the game looks old. I mean I know there are parts of it that don't look super dated but in the age of Unreal4 it looks ancient. Then there's the learning curve. I'm not saying it should be dumbed down but it shouldn't take a ten video Youtube course just to figure out how to do basic things. A lot of the reason the learning curve was tolerated in the past was because the only people really using SL were advanced content creators interested in exploring the then new virtual world landscape. Nowadays there are a lot more options when it comes to virtual chat and avatar customization. The tool and model support are better. SL is a museum piece. Please don't get me wrong-I love this place. I love my avatar. SL is where I learned to be myself and when it goes a huge part of me with go with it. It will literally feel like both a friend and part of me will die but that's the breaks. SL isn't going to be revitalized. Some day soon its underlying technology will run into modern tech just not being able to support it and it will be gone. Everyone needs to accept that and just do their best to enjoy the fun while it lasts. It's a fruitless endeavor to try and get people into it or 'save' it.
  12. One of my best friends is female irl and loves being degraded. She's a very confident woman who just happens to like letting her hair down and letting random guys in sl do weird stuff to her. Just because some people get taken advantage of by misogynists doesn't mean EVERY single women out there who is into that sort of thing is being forced to do it. Some people here need to stop making assumptions and value judgments about people they don't even know. Don't like it? Use your filters. Nobody's obligated to not do things they're allowed to do just because some people are offended by it.
  13. I think Pookiepie makes a great point. I know that for those of us who use furry avatars, wearing something that looks TOO photorealistic can sometimes help shatter the illusion we're trying to present. It can server to point out whatever weaknesses might exist in an avatars ability to encourage a willing suspension of disbelief-er, beyond the one that already exists due to it being a virtual world, that is hehe. Still, I don't think truly photorealistic clothing is a bad thing, it's just having a variety of clothing to choose from is ALWAYS a good thing. I would hate to see everyone who makes clothing in SL move to ultre photorealism, for instance, but I really don't see that ever happening.
