Can't view profiles, search and other things

As of yesterday i can't view search and profiles  etc ....

not in firestorm OR in the SL viewer, its very annoying I cannnot useSl and i need to get back to people because im a merchant ..

Is there a fix for this? please its urgent....

I tried clearing cache, i  reinstalled the viewer, nothing helps.

and its not my PC i bought a fffff new one last week lol

I have the same problem on here. Sometimes i get this error "media plugin webkit failed".

I get notecards all the time from people about my products etc,  its hard to get back to them because i cant click on their profile and IM then or send a notecard....

Using the website should not be the problem solve for this  -.-

I cleared cache 5 times already , i reinstalled the SL viewer , i even tried the latest  Firestorm, same problem there. nO search, just an empty window, profiles too....

Everything worked fine untill yesterday for some reason.

 

I dont have the issue with imprudence. buti rather use the sl viewer

You may have a webkit problem. Try installing the Safari browser, that often helps. Also, make sure all your Apple QuickTime stuff is updating. On a new computer you may not have all the Webkit and QuickTime updates running. This tends to be a problem on Windows machines.

You can also check through Second Life WebKit Fail / Error – Problem Again Besure to look through the comments.

Also, your antivirus can kill slplugin.dll by accident, depends on your AV. That will wipe out search and profiles. You can tell your AV to leave that file alone and then reinstall the viewer to recover. Since you use multiple viewers check Second Life Clean Install for some multi-viewer-user tips you may not have heard.

Got the same problem, with the Viewer 2, up to date :matte-motes-not-even:

I added slplugin to exceptions of my AV. I also added slplugin.exe in my firewall (as SecondLife.exe & other SL exes)

I turned compatibility mode of slplugin.exe to Win 95.

 

I ran SL as admin, & not.

 

Nothing changes. Still got the media_webkit error

if you using firestorm go to preferences>user interface>interface windows then on uncheck use web profiles by default then hit ok

and u should be all set.
