Can't login in default SL viewer

I have been unable to login into SL. I checked the site https://status.secondlifegrid.net/ and it shows login and all other SL features are operational. When I try to login using the default SL viewer, I get this error message - ( Also tried Phoenix Viewer but same message )

Login Failed

Despite our best efforts, something unexpected goes wrong.

 

So, is everyone facing this, or only me?

Not seeing a problem here. Maybe try specifying a different login location?

Hi, I am logged in, have you tried a different region? In the past Smith was always recommended, as it is a laglessish water sim.

I hopped in and out SL the last few hours without problems.
So it might be a hick up somewhere local down the road or as Charolotte already pointed out the region you try to contact is somehow full, lagged out or not available at the moment.

If you have a VPN on, try changing the location or turning it off and see if that works..

Sometimes that will happen to me with mine.. Then for some reason, like a day later I can use it and the original location..

To know why you cannot login we need more information. Time, location SL & RL (general not too specific), viewer brand...

The most common is a problem with your target region. So, as Qie suggests, try to log into a different region. You always can choose Home or Last Location. An easy way to pick a new login location is to use the Destination Guide (which is a newly updated guide now). You can also change your preferences to show login location choices before logging in.
