Why can't I edit attachments on my avatar?

I'm talking about things like jewelry. All I want to do is move it. I can't even get an edit option.  The pie menu comes up as if I am just clicking on my avatar.

I am using Firestorm.  This happens with both mesh and old prim items. HELP

Hi Madison, I only learned this a few years ago - but easiest to rightclick the attachment in your inventory and choose EDIT or whatever your viewer calls it.

Wish I'd known this at the start - the hours spent peering inside my avatar to find that belly piercing to click....

Try to go in Edit mode from your Inventory same way i do in the photo bellow.

If the item is rigged mesh, it won't be editable. I don't know any creator who would rig a piece of jewelry, but I suppose it's possible.

Some jewelry is now rigged for specific bodies.  Necklaces and bracelets.  Earrings are also available rigged for EvoX human and elf ears.

They sometimes include an unrigged version but yes, it's something to keep an eye on when purchasing.
