How much do SL live musicians make, generally?

I assume they're solely paid in tips? What is the pay range of that? Say, someone who sings well to backing tracks? 

(Sorry if this has been asked many times before already. I would love to have this info for my personal research purposes.)

My favorite live musician, Tukso Okey, charged the venue L$5,000 for a 1-hour set.  Later he lowered his prices to L$3,000/hour.  He did not accept tips.

The good ones will ask L$ 5.000 for a set of one hour.

They make pennies. I can make more money in beer and pizza for singing at a karaoke place, or performing at real coffee shop, and at my peak at a full club.

Good for having fun, performing and sharing in SL, but hardly a serious consideration for real money.

$20 plus tips for a one hour set possibly done in your jammies isn't bad. At least it would pay for their SL.

Sure, that's why if you're just doing it for fun, then anything is a bonus

While some will play for tips most range from 3k to 5k an hour plus tips.

You have to keep in mind a stream costs money to keep and use, their equipment, studio etc... For a performing musician it is not just log in, they have a lot of costs to perform so it is very understandable they would want to offset that.

We are very lucky so many amazing Musicians Play in sl.
