Multiple Target Particles

is there a way to send particles to multiple targets in a primset? i've been toying with Jopsy Pendragon's templates but i just can't seem to generate particles from the root that go to three separate links from the root. does anyone know if it's at least possible?

Not without setting a new particle system with a new target each time as they can only have one target.

You need to add 2 more prims for your desired effect. You still need only one script.
One detail: the visibility of particles is dependant of the prim size of the emitter.
So tests are required.

Do you mean that the size of the particles depends on the size of the emitter?

No.
Particles are visible over a distance. Larger emitters = longer distance. With a tiny emitter you need to be close enough to see the particles.
In your case - try it and see if things look like expected.

It doesn't have to be enormous(the prim emitter, Missus, ooherr). The puffs of steam from the chimney of my train came from a cylinder 0.1 diameter and 0.25 height, and were easily visible from over 90 metres away with the right draw-distance.
