 Hi, it states that a username can be changed,i dont mean just  using a different display but it says that my username itself can be changed to my display name,i want to completely change my username that i log in with, how do i do this please?

Where does it say that? Because it is not correct.

Your username is your account login and can not be changed. Only your display name is changable.

You can't change your username of this avatar. You can change only display name.

Hello tara. It is impossible to change your username. The only you can change is the display name. So the only solution to change completely your username is to delete your account and to create a new one. Open your dashboard --> by the left account --> Cancel account. I dont suggest to delete your account because it is very possible to regret about it in the future.

Nope.  IT is wrong. Your username is like your Social Security number or your birthday. Once you've got it, it's yours for life. (Of course, in SL you can always open a second account and have two Social Security numbers and two birthdays, but then you'd have to buy twice the outfits ........ :smileytongue:  )

Only way you can change it is by making a new avatar but even then you will not have a First name Last name as I assume is what you intend to have. You should tweet Rdovik Linden @rodvik and let him know that as a new user you wish you had the ability of having such a name scheme and show your discontent for the new format. The LL fanboys and fangirls will always tell you that you can just simply use a display name but they fail to recognize the fact that it is NOT the same but they won't care as those fangirls already have legacy names.
