0 Rolig Loon Posted August 10, 2016 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Linden Lab's periodic rolling restarts affect their servers, not your viewer. Your viewer is installed on your own computer and is unaffected by anything that they do with their servers. In general, it's unwise to clear cache or user settings unless you are directed to do so as part of a repair for a specific problem. When you do that, it inevitably means that your viewer will run slowly at first while it rebuilds the files you have purged, and you run the risk of having some errors introduced during the new downloads. You should not normally need to download and install your viewer again unless Linden Lab has released an upgrade or your viewer has developed a serious flaw.
