There are no ban lines on the Linden roads and byways through the water, although it can get rough with the security orbs. Even so, there is a basic openness and geographical contiguity. I'm sure there must be an Event-specific forums category around somewhere, but that's for those with a burning need to know which iguana-grooming venue has the awesomest spam. For those whose primary interest is Mainland, however, there are non-commercial events that span whole communities (the Nova Albion anniversary celebration, for example), for which a forum thread could be useful in planning, soliciting participation, and (maybe) promotion.
