Beta viewer, never heard of it, best I can say is delete it and re install.

Added: Unless you mean a work in progress viewer, in that case it could do anything.

Added: The whole point of BETA is that you report problems to the developer so they can sort there code out and as such you accept that things will go wrong.

Added after Roligs comment, what gets me is it clearly says with beta that it in development and as such you accept things not working, why you even here complaining about it is beyond me.

Added: BETA just means, ower buget has run out so suckers save us money and do the work for us for free, hehe, thanks people for the cheap labour.

Added: Not quite? That means it niether true or false and still does not answer the fact that if one uses beta they axcept its peoblems with cliches and not come to a forum and complain. Also just becouse some people consider something legitamate, does not make it right.

Any beta viewers are experimental, so you can expect to have more unusual trouble with them than with a full release viewer.  Like more software developers, Linden Lab's team makes the beta viewers available for daring users so that they can get cheap field testing of new upgrades before releasing them to everyone.  You should report problems through the JIRA, being sure that you cut & paste all information about your system from Help >> About Second Life  (accessible in the Help menu in your viewer or -- without logging in -- in the upper left corner of the login screen).

@steph:  Not quite.  Beta testing is a legitimate and recognized testing tool.  In-house testing is, by necessity, limited.  It can't hope to exercise every combination of hardware, software, and user-input commands.  So, the software is distributed to a much larger and more diverse group to try to provide that larger and less controlled environment.
