Drake1 Nightfire
How did i know he grew up in Boston? Perhaps it's because we had the same mentality back when i was a kid. That, and he went to high school with my cousin. We knew what it meant when someone was gay, calling someone a **bleep** meant they were being a wuss. one of my best friends was openly gay when we were teens. The **bleep**s were the jerks that I beat up for making fun of him. He was my best man at my wedding and is still one of my closest friends. I didn't think he was speaking for all gay people. (BTW, gay is not a noun.) He said I, not we. Even if he had, he could have been using the "royal" we, no? If I said that I liked the video, would you think that I thought i was representing all "gays"?

Griffin Ceawlin
Really. The word tends to have a negative, clinical feel, so very few gay people refer to themselves as "homosexuals". I guess you met the exceptions.
Zenephobe
Out of all the gay people that you know and have read about, you feel qualified to state what most of them call themselves? You must lead a very dangerous lifestyle.
Drake1 Nightfire
i would guess that Griff meets more gay people than you do.. None of my friends that are gay refer to themselves as "homosexuals" they say they are gay, or lesbians.

Trinity Yazimoto
afaik noone here took the video in a bad way.... the only thing that has been made in the bad way, was when the op when to insult someone who just said that the video wasnt not really matching his likes but the message was however good... really, being insulted for having expressing his likes is for me the only bad thing ive seen here.. Griffin Ceawlin
Who took the video or the post the "wrong way"? Besides the OP himself who jumped on the first gay person (that I know of...) who replied (simply because he didn't care for the video and/or song itself)? The OP who then went on to use gay "in the bad way" and would argue semantics with another "gay" (or "homosexual", depending on who you talk to).
