"On December 24th last year, we launched version 3.00 of the Bellisseria Passport, featuring a single HUD (no more additional visa pages required) and stamps served directly from our database so that teleport glitches can no longer cause them to be lost. If you haven't upgraded yet, you really should. It's a great improvement and we've been getting positive feedback from users. Just head over to HQ and fill in the upgrade from from the board there." Read more on the blog.

"We are continuing our series of Meet the Ambassadors. We interview each of the ambassadors so you can get a bit of a feel for who they are and what they do. And this week we will meet Jezebel (Bel) Bailey, who is our newest ambassador. She has taken a few months to really become familiar with her continent and has become passionate about it." "The BBB 2023 calendar is available from BBB HQ in Swordfish. You can pick it up from a dispenser sign there. This year's calendar uses the same Media-on-a-Prim (MoaP) technique as the StaFi stamp finder (also available from BBB HQ). The advantage of MoaP is that any updates don't require you to collect a new object. A refresh will always get you the latest version." Read more on the blog.

"Someone said that 2023 is the YEAR TO SEE. In this spirit, we hope to see massive improvements in both our RL and SL lifestyles. We can't address the Real-Life improvements here, but we do wish people the best in areas like improved job opportunities, less pandemic sickness and fewer restrictions, etc. But we can take a look at some of what lays ahead for Second Life® in 2023." New World Notes - 3.png

"In case you missed it over the holidays, the New York Times' story on the use of contemporary art displayed in major opera houses casually mentions that "the Chinese-born multimedia artist Cao Fei is showing a female avatar — a dystopian, pale-white head so imposing that signs have been put up all over the [Vienna] opera house to alert spectators to its presence." That avatar is actually China Tracy from Second Life -- she still has an active account in SL, look her up! -- who's been showing up in Cao Fei's art projects since 2007" Read more on the blog.

"The New Year 2023 will start with an expansion of our transport licensing services and a full facelift for the already existing driving licence. The new vehicle licence plates for 2023 have already been available to you (on application) since October." Read more on the blog.

"Any self-respecting bureaucrat would be horrified by the free-for-all of driving in SL. You can rez a huge truck and barrel down the highway; knocking over any residents who get in the way.  What are the consequences? None! So perhaps it's surprising that our latest project was suggested by someone outside our SL bureaucracy. Three cheers for responsible SL citizenship!" Read more on the blog.

"There have been changes at our HQ since the masthead to The Gazette was made, so we thought it was time for an update. Most noticeable is the addition of a Post Office on site, with all the facilities you need to use our unique postal service. Yes, we know you could just use IMs to mail your stuff, but – trust us – our way is more fun. Come over and get yourself set up in time for Holiday gifting!" Read more on the blog.

"There was a time when teleporting was only possible in Second Life® at special telehubs – and then only for payment. Just as in real life cities, where proximity to transport links affects land value, it really mattered in those days to be near a hub. After all, your visitors were going to have to walk, fly or use a vehicle to get from the nearest hub to your place." Read more on the blog.
