"Is there anything second life creatives have in common? Is there a direct link with the objective reality in which they live that sources their creativity “behind the screen”? Does the creative profession they pursue in the real world, continue inworld? In most situations, no. In my meetings many designers, photographers, stylists, tell me that they have not been creative in the real world, but have started their careers “natively” in the reality of Second Life." "This is a must-watch one-hour video, if you are at all interested in social VR, virtual worlds, and the metaverse! Both Tom and Philip are excellent, articulate speakers on the topic, Drax deftly steers the conversation in many directions, and there are so many great quotes in here! " Read more on the blog.

"Brad Oberwager appeared on the special SL18B episode of Lab Gab along with the Leadership Team on Monday 21st June 2021. This was the first time that Brad Oberwager (Oberwolf Linden) talked directly the the Second Life community. I thought it was a great show generally speaking and it was nice to hear about Brad’s plans for the future of Second Life. It was good to hear that Brad has gone in-world with his Oberwolf Linden account at least a few times and he does have alt accounts." Read more on the blog.

"I was interviewed on Monday evening at Fantasy Faire 2021 by Saffia Widdershins. It was a wide-ranging conversation which I enjoyed very much, and included questions (both from Saffia and the audience) on why I choose to write under my avatar name, why I choose not to pursue ‘traditional’ publication routes (and the work that goes into self-publishing), the difficulties facing new residents in SL (and how my post last year for beginners was my most read post), what makes SL special, and how virtual worlders might differ in their perspectives from non-virtual worlders." "Tutsy Navarathna signed up for Second Life for the first time on May 21, 2008. At a very young age, Tutsy understood that he needed a job that would allow him to live a little “outside the system”. Hungry for adventure, he found himself at home in the world of artists. As he says, it was not so much the art that made his life run, but rather being an artist and living the life of an artist." Read more on the blog.

"On January 5th, 2007, Bamboo Barnes logged into Second Life for the first time. The things that move Bamboo are impatient and scary to miss. Her body is driven by art, and she doesn’t want to miss a chance to create something. Sometimes music mixes with frustration to create something, but most just roam around in it. This is Bamboo, her art, all of her." "My avatars online persona started with an email address. This way I could separate SL related, avatar specific, mail from other day to day RL stuff. These days such things can be acquired in just a few minutes for free. Then I thought it would be fun to tell people about my adventures in SL, so I bought a website domain for a blog, although I didn’t start using it for quite some time. When I actually started using that, a Twitter account to promote it followed  as well as a Flickr account for photos I took inworld." Read more on the blog.
