  1. First you'd need to find someone who actually wants to see them
  2. The point that was made to you is that you choose to sail near to what you think is the edge even though you don't have to. It's entirely your choice. If you come a cropper because of it, you brought it on yourself, and you'd have no cause for complaint. I honestly don't understand anyone's thinking who insists on being borderline just because they want to - except for the forum drama maybe, which is what I think this thread is all about.
  3. I disagree with BJ a bit. In that pic you do not look like a child whether or not you are standing next to a giant. Either way, you do look like you could be a little under 18, 18, or over 18; i.e. you are just fine without a modesty layer. If a Linden disagrees, you'll get advice to change a little one way or the other, that's all.
  4. No. The new rules target all child avatars. What I think you mean is that child avatars that are not engaged in s.e.x feel that they are unjust because of what others have done, and they have to change even though they don't anything wrong. And that may be so, but the rules are aimed at all child avatars. They do not only target those that are not engaged in s.e.x.
  5. I don't know who was protesting but the new rules are not a war on children. They are a war on child s.e.x. Nothing more.
  6. That's paranoia. My #1 reason . It's the fear of losing something that causes all sorts of worst case, and imaginary, eventualities.
  7. A ban right off the bat isn't going to happen with a 'maybe underage, maybe not' avatar. There are only 2 reasons to think that it might: 1. paranoia 2. just for the sake of arguing.
  8. If I'd been ARing something that wasn't against the rules, yes, of course. But I wasn't
  9. If anyone thinks that their avatar might just be considered to be underage, then don't change anything. If the avatar gets ARed, you'll know nothing about it unless you have a communication from LL. Such a communication will advise you to change something about your avatar, that's all. Then you'll know the answer. Borderline cases won't be banned. Not for merely being a borderline avatar. The FAQ indicates that very clearly. This thread is about paranoia concerning a borderline case, and I don't believe that the paranoia is justified. My opinion is that this case is nowhere near borderline, anyway.
  10. To be perfectly honest, just continue to be what you are. You're fine. There is no way in the world that the pic you posted can come across to anyone as a child avatar, regardless of its height.
  11. Just a little aside here: Many years ago, a landowner had a building that was encroaching on my land. I ARed it from time to time but nothing was done. Governance ignored my ARs, even though I, a paying customer, was being denied the use of some of the land I was paying for. So I increased the frequency of ARs, telling them that I was going to shorten the time betwen ARs until they dealt with it. I ARed daily, then multiple times a day, and it was when I got down to ARing every hour, still telling them that I would keep shortening the time between ARs until it was dealt with, that the building got removed. I don't know if they here happy or not with what I was doing, but the squeaky wheel was successful in the end. Back then, the governance team didn't seem to care about paying customers. Dunno about now though.
  12. Mods can't shuffle posts around so I think she meant that some posts had been deleted, which would shift, not shuffle, posts that come after it.
