How to create a landmark without accually being there

im trying to create a landmark to an event that i cant get in to how would i make a landmark to there without being there

no sl url just the acuall landmark in my inventory

You can't, but you can certainly make a SLURL.  You can either make it freehand, if you know the address, or you can open your map view, locate the spot on the world map, and click Copy SLURL.

Paste the slurl into a web browser. When the page comes up click on the button to go to the place and it will send you a landmark. You can get a properly formatted slurl from the map. Go to the place on the world map by typing in the sim and location coordinates and then Copy SLurl button bottom right (well it is in firestorm anyway).

A decade later than what? Someone asking a question on the forums isn't the same as suggesting a feature.

IMHO, If an event organization doesn't want one around yet, there is only one thing to do: Wait until one gets access.
And reviving a 9 year old thread, I dunno.....

Possibly because nobody asked for it. After all, this was just a random question in the forums. If nobody actually filed a feature request, nothing would have happened. Or, of course, someone might have filed a request but it was given a really low priority. I'm going to guess that this isn't really a deal breaker issue for most people.
