    The forum account and the SL account are based on the same name and password. So the answer is yes, it will affect your SL account.
    You can't cancel the forum account and keep the SL one for this avatar. It is the same account.
    What you can do, is log out from the forums and forget about its existence.
    Besides: It has no use to do so anyway, because your posts will stay visible for others until LL decides to shut these forums down.
