Why is this still not implemented a decade later?

Is it possible using the command line flag to set maximum texture memory higher than 2048? I tried 4096 and didn't get an error, but also don't know where to look and see if it did anything. I have a 8gb card, so theoretically I could load a lot more and potentially speed things up.

Haha, this just happened to me and I feel the same way. The pie menu from my av is a better use of screen space, but I needed to know what happened.

You should definitely stop paying for premium, log out and never look back.
