should you?... ehm no...

can you?... yes...

you can report them for what they do, nothing more, nothing less... but most effective is the group owner handling it.. eject, ban and change perhaps the joining process.

In your report stick to the facts, if they spam for rmoney, thats all you can put as reason for your report.

You may file an Abuse Report if you feel that there has been a TOS violation.  It's up to Linden Lab's governance team to decide where the line is between an annoyance and a violation.  In this case, you might look at the Community Standards definition of Disturbing the Peace.

Of course, you might also take other measures like muting people or bots that annoy you, and making your groups open by invitation only.

Yes, file an AR when you see a beggar bot posting spam.

LL are shutting those accounts down, they generally don't last a day. But unfortunately they come back with new bot accounts on a daily basis.

Soft Linden filed a feature request to make it easier to abuse report spam chat posts at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-11871 so it seems LL do want these spam bots reported.

Regarding the recent surge of beggar bots, please see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-40546
