    Sony has announced a new full body tracking system.

    Mocopi full body tracking.

    This is the first full body tracking system from a major consumer products company.

    It's kind of expensive, around US$350.

    The dev software is supposed to become available around December 15th, with products shipping in January

    Now somebody has to figure out how to interface SL to it. VRchat is expected to have it soon.

    Sony is coming out with a good suite of VR hardware. The coming VR2 headset tied to the PS5 plus this provides a complete system from a single vendor.

    Someone should do a "voodoo doll" parody of that video with an in-world waifu wearing the trackers and forcing their RL neckbeard user to dance or exercise until they have a heart attack (2 minutes into the routine) and continue as a corpse/zombie.

    I've been seeing objects missing from the world. Like pavement sections leaving holes in the ground. Missing buildings. Relogging makes them reappear. New problem in last 2 days. I have not seen this in recent months.

    Seen mostly at busy regions - London City, Woodcrest University, Paris City. Sometimes, after several minutes of idle, missing objects appear.

    The missing objects don't seem to have been sent to the viewer at all. Clicking on them does not do anything.

    Packet loss 0%, good ping times. Does not seem to be a network problem.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    Ever since LL's performance code, I see things not appear more frequently and can no longer use the right-click select method to make them appear.

    I have to move my camera way out then back and that only works half the time.

    //From inside an attachment:
    rotation X = ???;
    llOwnerSay((string)(llEuler2Rot(X)*RAD_TO_DEG));
    // expect the x,y,z values of the orientation of the attachment as seen in the build window.

    // things that don't work because they return the /avatar/'s rotation.
    llList2Rot(llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(LINK_ROOT,[PRIM_ROT_LOCAL]),0);
    llGetRot();
    llGetRootRotation();
    llList2Rot(llGetObjectDetails(llGetLinkKey(1),[OBJECT_ROT]),0); // WTF, I really thought this one would work.

    There are ways to get around it for what I want to do if I really need to, but is there seriously no way to fetch the rotation of an attachment, or am I just too tired?

    The wiki is my friend if I read close enough. The answer is llGetLocalRot but only if the script is in the root prim. Ammend my question to ask: Is there no way to get the rotation of the root from a child prim of an attachment?

    I do NOT see llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(1,[PRIM_ROT_LOCAL]) returning the owner's rotation when called from a root or child link.

    I do see llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(1,[PRIM_ROTATION]) returning the owner's rotation when called from a root or child link, though.

  4. In regards to aesthetics, just holding a rifle correctly currently requires a specific body shape and/or adjustments since we do not have IK support.

    This is just one of many applications where IKs are needed, particularly, script compilable, target key/bone, offset pos/rot, weighting and point/line/plane constraint inputs along a keyframe timeline.

    And yeah, I might just make some stuff for the Avi2.0. I actually dusted mine off last week and updated it, and my old Normie head, and I was able to pretty much get the same look as I have now with an avi and head that cost me almost 8k. My only hangup is the body isn't SLUV compatible, so no BoM for it, but whatever, really. It was my avatar of choice for over a year when I was new, and I only switched to the Kemono for a while because it had more sliders (at that time, anyway).

    Just an FYI, but BoM is not SLUV exclusive.

    You can get that can't create error when the region starts running low on Physics memory. There was (maybe still is) a bug where terraforming would use up the Physics memory and restarting the region was only fix.

    This is not that.

    This is something else.

    This is a bug that is intentionally being exploited in regions that have at least one public rez parcel.

    THere is over 108 reports from different SL users that have im'd me . I am very techical and and foudn the issue, the rest is up to Linden for the error happening between the Amazon AWS servers LL uses and Dreamhost. THe issue is to all website folders and speed and delay due to dreamhost security checks.

    LL said that a popular furniture creator's content was effectively DDOSing Dreamhost's servers due to bad scripting methods.

    LL reached out to said creator, but IDK if the damage is done, nor if the creator can affect what is already in the wild.

    LL could brick said creator's content if re-establishing good terms with Dreamhost warrants it, though.

    I see those messages when I am not part of the Group on those regions like just happened on http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mogwa/178/218/60. When i tried rezzing something I received the message the  Unable to create new object. The region is full. That message would likely go away if I was part of that group. To me it is just awkwardly worded where it should say you must belong to the group to rezz anything.

    The region is full message is not related to group rezzing.

    Not being in the group produces the same message as if you were not allowed to publicly rez.

    Also, I'm talking about rezzing in the rez zones along Linden highways. That is currently not possible in the regions affected.

  9. How many of you traveling through Mainland on a vehicle have encountered an excessive amount of regions that despite showing prims available, report that the region is full when you try enter or rez something in?

    I reported it at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-232171

    This week has been the worst I've ever seen it.

    One thing I noticed that is curious is that many of the regions have Get The Freight Out depots in or nearby.

    The regions are not all on the same channel either.

    If my group owns many parcels and one sells, how can I tell which one it was? My L$ transaction history just lists 'group dividend', where it would name the parcel if it was a personal sale.

    Why not put a "Parcel Owner Change Notifier" type object over each parcel that is for sale so it can inform you by IM when one is bought?

    It's what I use.

    I agree. I forgot about "mouse look" when I described "default" and "camming", I hope that wasn't confusing.

    I don't want to put people into mouse look(if that's possible) -- that would be confusing too. If there was a command to take people OUT of mouselook, I would try that to see if it moves to "default" camera mode.

    https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-9719 A function to reset the camera.

    https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-7459 A function to put users in or take users out of mouselook.

    Camera control additions are not on LL's roadmap ATM, sadly.
