  1. Some sale items at Simply Shelby this weekend: the Holiday Cookie Tree as boxed is 2 LI, but it can be enlarged - shown also is a resized version at 4 LI. $50. The Tudor Holiday Buffet Set is $75 - the sideboard is 3 LI and all the decor shown (including mirror) is 9 LI when linked. The various poinsettia plants are 3 LI and $25 for each color. The Birch Log Chair Set (chair and bookcase 2 LI each, table 1 LI, lamp with light script 4 LI) is only $35. Food and other holiday decor items also on sale.
  2. If you can afford 14 LI for a bed, there's a very nice one on sale at Bricolage this weekend - several texture change options for all the various bits. As there's no info to the contrary, I assume the folk art and the rug are included. PG or A $75. The 3 LI bedside table is sold separately for $75. It has texture change options that match those for the bed. (The decor items on top are nothing special, and I don't know if they're included.)
  3. These 7 LI drapes from Farmhouse make me want to sing "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK...", but they may be just what your windows need - $98.
  4. This set at Muniick has been on sale before, and it's a great deal for $60! The dining room set is also on sale for $60.
  5. Nutmeg's weekend sales: the sideboard is heavy at 10 LI, but it has a very nice subtle pattern, and includes the six 1 LI decorative plate designs, which might be worth the $60 price on their own. The three pieces in the Iron Nightstand set are between 1 and 3 LI each, and there's no indication that the lamp as sold works. The set is $75 this weekend.
  6. Fetch is selling this 2 LI divider/screen (with multiple color options for the frame) for $50.
  7. Floorplan and Brocante have these mid-centry modern pieces on sale - the 5 LI green leather chair is $50, PG or A, and the 7 LI sofa is also $50, PG or A. There's also a collection of 1 LI "rude embroidery hoops" - $50 per hoop.
  8. OK, I'll toot my own horn, but there are many folks here who could do the same with their homes. By my definition of *fully*, yes. Granted, I don't use curtains because all of my houses are set in landscapes and seascapes that I want to see. (Besides which, in RL, curtains aren't my thing, apart from the bedroom.) My Trad (Adams) has changed a bit since it was posted in the Show Off Your Home And Garden thread, so I've just done a quick round of photos and posted it on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=frigga.freidman.9&set=a.473387714885613 My Stilt (Tortuga) hasn't really changed much (except for papering the wall behind the bed, shown in a mini-tutorial elsewhere), so here's the link in the Stilt Home Decorating - Show Us Your Style thread: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/465878-stilt-home-decorating-show-us-your-style/?do=findComment&comment=2281541 (rest of the house in the post below link) Here's the post for my Sakura (Shion) - the largest of all the houses I have. https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/436002-bellisserians-show-off-your-home-and-garden/?do=findComment&comment=2528649 and https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/436002-bellisserians-show-off-your-home-and-garden/?do=findComment&comment=2528653 - it's more sparsely-decorated in parts, but that's in keeping with the theme, I think. It is, however, the only one of my current houses with a TV. (Used to have a whole TV/music room in my Hardy, Victorian.) I'm re-doing bits of my Victorian (Doyle), but here are some recent photos that will give you a flavor: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.237993348425052&type=3 As others have said elsewhere, the trick is to shop carefully, mix items from different creators, and link items where it works to your advantage.
  9. <data nerd> I did a quick tot up of my houses, looking at Hive, Dust Bunny and some other often 'heavy' LI high-quality creators (Nutmeg, Apple Fall, Trompe) - I've used all of them (notably Hive kitchens in 3 of the houses) and each house (and garden) is highly-decorated using a total of 328-343 LI. (Note that I may have missed some items that have been linked to those by other creators.) Anyway, I think this shows that you *can* use visually-appealing, higher-LI objects as a substantial portion of decor and still come in under 351 LI. </data nerd>
  10. I'm curious to know what unrepresented stores/brands are among the ones you prefer. I'll keep a look out for them in case of sales:
  11. KraftWork and Pitaya are offering a collaboration for us booklovers - the double bookcase is 5 LI, other bits are 1 LI, and can be bought separately or in fatpacks (everything fatpack $300; bookcases and ladders fatpack $75; seats and tables fatpack $75). Single color bookcases, single color seat/table, rugs, vases as shown in the squares - $50 each. Full collection of books $75.
  12. Fetch is selling this 1 LI console table, along with the 1 LI linked frames and 1 LI each vases (poor LODs on those) for $75. Multiple wood (and vase) textures.
  13. Some 2 LI decorations from Dahlia - each single-color set includes 3 versions, $60 per set.
  14. Holiday decor on sale at Finca: the branch (white or green) with house ornaments is 4 LI and $75, the 2 LI string of lights is $100, and the 2 LI shelf with cards and lights is $75.
  15. Weekend sales at Nutmeg: the chest of drawers is 3 LI and $75; the holiday decor is $60.
  16. Looking for your own Big Lebowski rug? La Galleria has a huge selection, with excellent LODs. Generally 1 LI and $98 each. (Not a sale price.)
  17. At Trompe: two versions of this PG-only sofa are on sale together for $50. (FLF, not a Superfans sale.) As with most Trompe furniture, there are many texture-change options and good LODs, if 11/14 LI isn't too much for you. The $50 Superfans offer is a very high LI loveseat/love tent.
  18. North Oak is offering a refresh for your dining room - 4 LI table (good LODs) for $50, 2 LI chair for $50. Other fabric colors and wood tones are available, but they cost $75 each. There's no indication that the decor is included or on sale separately.
  19. Your neighbors may not thank me, but if you're feeling nervous about the world situation, an 8 LI bunker may be just what your garden needs. $50 at Nomad.
  20. For $50 this weekend you can adopt a turkey in time for the holidays at Jian - static ones only 2 LI, but wanderers included.
  21. Not just birds and furry critters! Among the bargains at TLC's closing down sale is this 15 LI goldfish pond with excellent LODs - only $75.
  22. A useful source for retro decorating ideas: https://ikeamuseum.com/en/digital/ikea-catalogues-through-the-ages/1960s-ikea-catalogues/1962-ikea-catalogue/
  23. For the veggie gardeners among you getting ready for spring planting... these 1 LI seedbeds are $50 today at Old World.
  24. I urge everyone to go and get at least one of their songbird packs - especially if you have a Trad home and need some environmental sound! (Also, their seagulls are the best I've found in SL!)
