Like most things I remember, I may remember wrong, but I thought you couldn't pay people for a review? Especially only paying for 5 stars. I saw this last week on a "known" merchants listing. "Leave a 5 star review and get a 10% refund!" In bold with ASCII highlights. Since then I have noticed it on every 3rd merchants page it seems. Is this cool to do now? I sell weird Adult RP stuff so even though I sell several items a day, and get lots of positive IM's about my work, I only get 1 or 2 reviews a year. On the plus side only 2 people have ever asked for a refund in 9 plus years so I guess I'm doing OK. But the new search really weighs reviews and I'm just looking for a way to encourage honost ones. Just an FYI, I would never pay for a 5 star review specifically, if I did this I would give like a 10% refund for any review. Even bad ones, because that's how I learn to make better props. =)

I remembered reading that security timing bit somewhere from back when I was Land Baron. Good to know where that came from. The wording is definitely open and we all know how well LL enforces even the strict rules. =P I also agree that no one has a right to not being instantly ejected, this is SL, you have no rights, but I don't have to spend my money there. I hate pop-ups and greeters too but everyone has them, well everyone but me. I sell one and it's running off in a corner so it won't bother everyone when they TP in. One store I stopped at had no less than 8 pop-ups.I popped out.

Just because an account is "New" doesn't mean the owner is. I restarted with a new account for my new Mesh body. Mostly so I wouldn't have 40k plus unusable items in my clothing folder. Secondly because after 8 years on this avatar and even longer on my main, my inventory was huge and unmanageable. I love to spend my Lindens lol. As I'm poping arond to look at things for the new account I was TP'ed home Instamtly at least 10 times for being "underage". A store that kicks out shoppers without even a warning? Then another, and another, and another! One place at least gave me 15 seconds then sent me a note saying "Thanks for leaving without the use of force, Come back when you have more SL experiance" WTF? I need experiance to shop? I have money, usuaually that's all you need to go shopping. Why the hatred to new players and instant TP's? I thoiught LL TOS stated security devices had to give a warning then enough time for someone to TP out. Not just TP you home instantly with a laugh. If you have one of these systems I can guarantee I will never shop at your store again. BIG Mistake, I love to spend money!

11 Business days to get funds to Paypal. All I'm trying to say/ rant about is exactly what I've said all along, and exactly what Medhue said just above. If they (LL) says 3 to 5 days, then 11 days is far to long. if you can't do it in 5 days then don't promise 5 days. if they said "Up to 2 weeks", I'd think 11 days was fast. Just do what you say LL. If you can't, then change what you promise.

Thanks for the well worded reply Tari, let me clear up a couple things. I did take out for the Holiday and weekend, it's actually been 12 days, today is 13. I should have said 9 Business days. However Christmas is only 1 day, New Years is not a holiday. It's a party at Midnight. That shouldn't double the promised time for the process. I am changing my cash out date to the 15th. I just can't trust LL to do what they say they will. This shouldn't surprise me after all these years. My original account (Joined like 9 years ago I think) is premium and I am amazed at the differance between Concierge support and basic account support. I don't know if it would affect cash outs but I may start transferring money to him and then out. Couldn't hurt to try. I am one of those with the opinion LL should keep weekend hours. They are, after all, an International business that is open 24/7 and our weekend is not the entire worlds weekend. If you have a business with Tens of Thousands of people "in world" at all times and from all different Countries you need to have people manning the machines. But that's just my opinion and counts for squat. =) In RL I am an Entertainer. When the Producer says showtimes are 9, 2 and 5 you can bet my butt is on stage at 9, 2 and 5. If I showed up at 5 minutes after I wouldn't get hired. A business is only as good as it's promise & performance. If they want to take 14 business days they should say so. At least then I'd know what to expect. It's still ridiculous (IMHO) that it takes so long to process credit. and that was the point of my rant. I suppose if my account got hacked and ripped off I would appreciate that delay, as it may save my money. But they still should say something like "Up to 2 weeks" instead of "3 to 5 business days".

9 days ago I sent money into the process credit process. I've been in business in SL for over 7 years now and this is just getting worse and worse. I send almost exactly the same amount out every month for years now. I guess if I want my money by the first I have to start sending it out on the 15th? Paypal will take another week when it finally gets there. This is just incompetance. They can take it instantly but take over a week to send it out. Wake up LL! Holidays or not, this is business. I count on that money to pay my phone and internet bills. It says 3 to 5 days. Not 9 or more. I'm going to have to skip a month and change my Process dates. That will be 2 months I have to cover thanks to LL's inability to do what they say they will. Schmucks. End Rant. I now return you to your regular forum threads.

I'm on Verizon wireless in the Tahoe National Forest. A hot spot device feeding my laptop. I have to go almost 3 miles to get a signal and sometimes building is a PITA. Especially loading contents of large props. I turned my cache way up, my framerate down, and work way up in the sky on a plain platform. Seems to help. I'm glad to be able to walk around at all way out here! My biggest issue is battery life. I get 2 hours tops in world before I have to crank up the generator. Usually I take the bike up and work on a boulder.

Yes that's exactly the argument I'm fighting with. t was so much easier back in the days of Cobalt! =) I'll get in world and grab a copy of the flight script I chose. I keep changing the "If" argument but I just don't have the skills to do what I want.

I am not a scriptor, I can change a few variables here and there and have a basic understanding of lsl but this is killing me. I made a Tree that rezzes aTarn and I'd like to let anyone jump on it and fly off, but every flight script I have found is "Owner Only" and I can't seem to comment out or replace the Owner only lines or whatever I need to do to let anyone fly it. Can someone point me towards the right place to learn this or find one? Thanks for your time!

If i may interject. it is simple enough to write a script that would allow anyone to reset itself or look that way with dialouge boxes. A script can also act like other objects easily. false dialogue messages in it can say anything the scriptor wants. Almost any object or sequence can be mimicked this way. The scammer just copies the name of the targeted vendor, places thier prim over it, and anyone that touches it will think they are resetting or buying from the actual vendor. In fact they are just turning on a script that mimics the process then drains your account. That's also how LL catches them. They still actually own the script that takes the money. All I know is what happened to me. That at least, was how it was done years ago on the SLX Terminals. To get a terminal on your land the normal procedure was to cut out a 16m section and set the build rights to open so the SLX group could rez the terminal. If the land owner forgot to turn the rez permissions off they got hit. Back then you'd often see piles of prims on the terminals as people figured out they could rez there. These prims could also be worn as an attachment and if the avatar stands right it would block the vendor. No rezzing needed. Tricky scam and easy to get caught by. I should know lol They got me for a large deposit about 6 years ago. LL did make it right though. I will hand them that, they sometimes get the big stuff right! =)
