    The great Black Migration

Which correlates with a lot of northern cities adopting "black codes" and segregation policies and often the type of policing we're seeing a spotlight shone on right now. They date back to the Great black migration.

I grew up in Lousyana. Most of the black families in CenLa have relatives in Chicago. I learned that when a friend went to Chicago to visit with family... and then decided to stay. In talking with her, I found that that happens quite frequently.

Illinois is considered a Northern state.

I lived there and now in the bible belt about 30 miles north of the Alabama border and about 20 miles from Pulaski Tennessee, where the Klan was born.

Want to see snobby, go the Wilmette Illinois.. It's all old money and huge mansions with like 14 bathrooms and Sistine chapel type paintings on the ceilings just at the entrance.. Huge places..

Apparently some people are unaware of how many families in Chicago have family still in the south. Seemed like most blacks in the town I grew up in had family in Chicago. I was amazed to find that out decades ago. A lot of the escapees went to Illinois from Dixie.

Kinder? Have they seen how most people play? My kids have graveyards from all the people they have "accidentally" killed. I was watching some youtubers play and the sheer number of sims killed was astounding..

Thankfully I'm not most "kids". The only sim I've ever killed off (and had fun doing it) was Mortimer. I have aging turned off so they don't die and I age them up when I want them to age up. Yes, only Mortimer through all 4 iterations of The Sims. No, sorry, most people who play don't intentionally kill off their sims routinely.

Good point.  It's not something I've done a lot, so I guess I've just been lucky so far.

It doesn't happen often and I haven't heard of it happening in a long time, but you never know. For some things it's better to be safe, than sorry.

What many do for this situation, is create an alt account, and then transfer (pay) their excess lindens to their alt.   When you find something that you want to use those lindens for, log the alt account in and transfer them back to  your main account.   It's easiest to transfer lindens back and forth when you  and your alt are friends (so you can choose their name from your friends list instead of using search (and possibly choosing the wrong name from the search results).  The alt doesn't need to be anything fancy - you can leave it as the initial starter avatar, and it doesn't need payment info on file, and you can give it the same email as your main account if you want.    You can pay lindens to your alt without your alt being online, but in order for your alt to send lindens back to you, your alt needs to log in long enough to do that.

It's always best to have the alt logged in when transfering funds or log it in immediately after transfer to check. There have been times when things have gone awry (through no fault of LL's) and the funds don't transfer. Then you're kind of screwed. Never just transfer without checking.

Whatever the issue was isn't an issue now, it was first time I went to a place with streaming music and it is working now.

Asking for support is awkward because I run CentOS 7 but with an updated multimedia stack from packages I compiled myself so if there are issues it may be because of my own compile-time options etc. but it's all working now. I really think it was just a first use issue that only pops up when the service is first initialized. Those are hard to track down.

One possibility and I've had this happen before is on first use, pulseaudio sends streaming content to the soundcard built in to the video card instead of the USB soundcard built in to my headphones. That's a pulseaudio bug.

There is always the FS support groups to ask for help. I doubt you are the only one running CentOS 7. It's possible but I doubt it. There is usually someone around that can at least point you in the right direction.

Let's call in someone who is still on the team @Whirly Fizzle. Whirlz is Q&A and knows pretty much anything you need to know. I'm not sure how much Linux knowledge she has but she can point you in the right direction.

  7. I use Maitreya for my main and EBody(s) on my alts. I'm happy with both. At some point I'll be upgrading the Ebody(s) to the updateable version. Still haven't updated to BOM though. I usually skip a version or three on Firestorm releases.

The only thing changed about the logo is the color. It changed from green to blue.

The text has also changed. The font is different and it is now white instead of green.

Ah.  I wasn't sure, thanks.  Words are such an imperfect way of communicating, it's no wonder the world is such a mess.

It's a large part of it, yes. That and the fact that the majority of people only hear without ever listening. Even when they do listen they refuse to see.

We live in a world of cruelty and greed masquerading as concern for preserving life and liberty.

He didn't say it, someone put it in the comments, so more about him - i did a search on the phrase, found it in a couple of quotes sites, attributed to anonymous, so maybe anonymous met you.

I tend to use "he" when I don't know the gender of the person I'm speaking about. Old habits die hard. So the "he" I referred to wasn't Damien, just so you know.

Here is a good example of how the government holds back a people.. Three different occasions where we started to thrive, they stepped in to knock us back.. not just that but also in the education area and corrupt micro government and so on..

Take this and then look closely everywhere else that there is rampant problems with another people.. I'm willing to bet there are a lot of similarities..

This is why we trust no politicians or governmet..

How I miss my cousin. :(
