Try harder Seicher. I got 14.
pffft. I have like 3 pages. I stopped counting after around 25 or 26.
I suppose I should do some cleaning out but since I'm not here much anymore because of all the political "debates" going on, why bother?

@Selene Gregoire comes up for me (I miss her picture though). So it must be you @Phil Deakins. Maybe the number of warning-badges counts for something, after all.
This one?

When I left SL a year or two ago, LL was talking about doing multiple levels of Premium membership. Did anything happen with that? I've looked in my account page and I see only one level - just the normal Premium membership, although the cost has risen significantly.
Note: If you remember me, I'm only back in SL to fill some hours while the coronavirus restrictions are in place, although a reason has cropped up whereby I would continue to stay if they were lifted right now. But I'm not coming back to the forum except to ask the occasional question like this one - so there's no need to even think about sharpening your nails
I'm not afraid to admit I've missed reading your posts. It was a lot more "fun" than all the political crap that gets posted now.
I told you guys not to tell him I missed him and now look what you've done!

The work speaks for itself.
People do tend to be overly critical of works of fiction that turn the tables, especially science fiction. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, they don't want to wear the shoe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm reminded of an awful Heinlein pulp novel where..the POC wanted "revenge" - and got it.
Never, ever diss the Heinlein.

ok Fine. I know when I'm not wanted. I haven't done anything to warrant my posts being approved by a mod.

Posts being hidden without good cause. And everyone wonders why I don't like people. Go look in a mirror.

There have been Vikings,Spaniards, English, French and more.. When I really get to thinking deep about it, and how much the people of this half of the world have went though and still remain.. There comes a sense of power with being part of that legacy.
There is a message there to stay resilient and strong and keep on chugging..I've heard people say, you can't get a positive out of a negative.. If that were the case we would never get anywhere from our experiences and lessons..There would be no such thing as ,what doesn't kill me only makes me stronger..
My families link could have been cut at any time through all the things of the past, but it wasn't.. When I get that deep in thinking about it, how close it was to happening.. A lot of things that I thought were important become low on the list..
To lay down would be disrespectful to all those before me that were taken away that made it possible for me to be here..
This! So much this!
The problem is, no one ever really listens. They hear it but they don't see it. If they did they would have to admit to all the past, present and future wrongs, so they choose to not listen and remain blind.
And the Russians. Don't forget what the Russians did in Alaska.
QuoteSome groups of Alaska Native peoples have experienced actual slavery and extreme economic exploitation and cultural violence at the hands of colonial powers. Russian enslavement of the Aleut peoples as workers in the fur seal harvest was replaced in the late 1800s by continuing exploitation by the United States government after Russia sold Alaska to the U.S. In addition, the internment of the Aleuts during World War II resulted in death and dislocation for many villagers. (In 1988, at the direction of the United Nations, the U.S. government issued a formal apology to the Aleut and Japanese-American people interned during WWII.)
Lastly, although the Anti-Discrimination Act was passed in 1945, discrimination against Alaska Native people (as well as other non-dominant groups) persists in subtle and not-so-subtle ways in modern society. Native people regularly report instances of mistreatment, ranging from long waits to receive service in business establishments to being on the receiving end of negative jokes and slurs to threats or incidents of physical or sexual violence.
Such mistreatment contributes to the stresses that can fuel episodes of drinking or violence.

“This is an injustice for me and my family. This is part of my history, sir,” Larnell Evans Sr. told Patch. “The racism they talk about, using images from slavery, that comes from the other side — white people. This company profits off images of our slavery. And their answer is to erase my great-grandmother’s history. A black female. … It hurts.”
Former enslaved woman Nancy Green debuted the first “Aunt Jemima” at the Chicago’s World’s Fair in 1893. Green was a cook who worked in the South Side of the city. She was hired to wear a headscarf and an apron while serving pancakes to those visiting the fair.
She continued to portray the character of “Aunt Jemima” until her death in 1923. Then, Evans said his grandmother Anna Short Harrington took her place.

People in Active Worlds were talking about the new upcoming virtual world (SL) where the graphics would put AW's graphics to shame. That was around 1999/2000. Then illume passed and the memorial was held in SL, the SO saw the graphics I'd tried to keep him from seeing (because I knew!), and I've been stuck with it ever since. Tried going back to AW a couple of times but it just wasn't good enough any more.

I wouldn't totally bet on that. They have said many times that they want to spread their income out over more areas. I could see something like 5L upload fee for Premium Plus, 10L for Premium regular, 15L for Basic accounts -- not for mesh uploads, but just the other uploads that are currently a flat 10L.
Raising the price of uploads for basics won't get them more premiums. It will lose them basics.

One thing that a lot don't know is, They shipped out more natives into slavery out of the country than they had shipped in..
The reason They didn't keep natives as slaves and shipped them out was because they knew they had to put them into a place they didn't know far away, or they would always be trying to escape or fight to get back..This is why slaves were shipped in and natives shipped out..
Colonial enslavement of Native Americans included those who surrendered, too
QuoteNative American slavery “is a piece of the history of slavery that has been glossed over,” Fisher said. “Between 1492 and 1880, between 2 and 5.5 million Native Americans were enslaved in the Americas in addition to 12.5 million African slaves.”

The 75-year-old protester who was shoved by Buffalo police officers sustained a brain injury and will now have to acclimatize to a 'new normal,' attorney says
https://www.businessinsider.com.au/buffalo-police-officers-shove-martin-gugino-brain-injury-2020-6
Quote- Martin Gugino, 75, was shoved by officers in Buffalo, New York, during a June 4 protest. He lost balance, fell backward onto the footpath, and began bleeding from his ear.
- “As heartbreaking as it is, his brain is injured and he is well aware of that now,” Martin Gugino’s lawyer Kelly V. Zarcone told NBC News.
- WKBW reported that Gugino’s skull was fractured in the fall.
- Gugino can’t walk, but has begun physical therapy and “is looking forward to healing and determining what his ‘new normal’ might look like,” Zarcone said.
- The Buffalo Police Department originally said that Gugino was “injured when he tripped and fell.” Since then, two policemen have been charged with second-degree assault.
