And so ? Eveybody can reduce the umber of sims

And i count well , 5 sims don t cost 6000 dollars , specifically for "non profit organisations"

And why subsidies have been refused  , if what you have claimed is true?

And why all these groups/ or djs  in hangars liquides  don t help ?

The "best fans" of hangar liquides don t want anymore to pay the  project of 5 sims .

And it s up to us to pay ?

    Are you serious ?

MY RL other half is a DJ in SL, They don't make the kind of money you think they do.

6000 dollars ? for a sim who cost 200 dollars ? are you serious  .

And of course , i don t forget there are french subsidies  , no ?

It's more than one region so that's $200 per region per month which for ONE region is $2400 per year. Three regions would be $7200USD per year. There's also VAT if it applies and other fees/taxes that have to be paid.

So that $6000 figure for more than one sim is not unreasonable.

ETA: For 5 regions that would be $12,000USD so she is only asking for help with half the amount needed.

We're all doomed. Someone has been spreading misinformation in the SL Spanish community.

Why are WE still having to answer these questions?

Well...  we don't have to answer them. We don't even have to point them to the correct post in that closed thread that some brilliant person so intelligently closed.

We could be meanpoopie heads and let LL deal with the backlash/aftermath of their own making. They are, after all, the ones that started this whole mess.

    Again.

    Sorry, but no.

I was replying to the statement made that "They've been shorthanded since the big lay off a few years ago and they have no intentions of changing that. It's more fun to watch us dance like puppets for them", and pointing out that claims around the 2010 layoffs are so often made without context. As such, I'm perfectly "within the topic".

I never said anything about when. Never mentioned a year. You just assumed that is when I was thinking about. It wasn't.

I've heard the same thing about fancy rats -- although not that there is a law anywhere dictating that they have company.

What if one just opens an SL account for the lonely ones instead? They can make virtual guinea pig friends, in a nice guinea pig community in-world!

Now you're just trying to make the rest of us guinea pigs resentful. :|

I don't feel that I have a good handle on the principles of moderation here

There aren't any. And only one person metes out the punishment for imaginary infractions. Not only is it heavy handed, it's cack handed. From one extreme to the opposite, with nothing in between. Worst forum moderation I've encountered in over 20 years. Second only to another forum I no longer have any desire to be abused on.

1st hand experience is more important in my opinion. Research can heavily reduce the number of options, though, I'll give you that. But you literally can't make a shape for the mesh head without putting it on first. But props to you if you found the perfect head and made shape that you're happy with in 5 minutes plus some research time. I also know what I'm doing, especially with mesh body parts, but far too picky when it comes to details, so things like measuring distance between eyes by moving slider 1 digit at the time and other nonses like that takes a long while.

I learned how to create shapes in 2004. Not sure what part of that you aren't getting. I've been creating shapes for 15 years.

Asking a simple yes or no question in a group and being told to go read a blog post. It takes more time and effort to type out "go read the blog post" than it does to type yes or no ffs. 9_9

As it turns out, the answer to my question was "no". I even had to read all but the last paragraph to find that info. I had to read stuff that didn't really pertain to my question. Thanks for the help. :S

Oh and that last paragraph was one sentence. :/

If you mix and match clothes it can take a while to see if they work with what you had in mind. For example some over the pants shirts can work well with some pants, but will heavily clip with others. Unless you have like a couple of pants you want to test it with, it'll take way longer than 5 minutes to check. Same for shoes and pants. Depending on pants' length and shoe shape (length, straps, other details) some will work nicely together and some won't.

Never ran across that problem. Like I said, I did the research first.

And don't know how you were able to spend less than 5 minutes on demoing the bento head (if you did). Unless you're perfectly happy with some premade shape from the MP which had a stylecard, of course. Because if not, then messing with sliders can take a long while to even see if you can possibly achieve what you want to with "this exact' head.

I created my own shape for both body and head. Like I said, I did the research first. You can even find my posts on the forums asking about them back in October/November. I've been in SL long enough to know what I'm doing for the most part.
