  1. The alts I do have, were made over a period of 4-5 years. So it's not like I was grabbing alts on whims. Not saying anyone here has.

I watched in morbid fascination two massive frenzied feedings of alt creation. The first was when we were first allowed to have what amounted to unlimited alts. The second was when LL dropped last names and the "new" format was deployed and so many went all paranoia they would be impersonated. It boggles my mind to this day. All those accounts created, never to be used, just sitting on LL's servers gathering dust bunnies and wool socks. And no one was ever impersonated. Not because of all those accounts created, but because it would have been obvious.

My point is, most of us create alts for a specific purpose and those accounts are used, even if only sporadically.

It really is a nice build, yes. And it really is rather tightly packed, one of the few places where - even though I use a tight camera angle - I have to go into mouselook to navigate.

    That's even worse. I can't use mouselook.

And if anyone ever tells you, you can't joust without using mouselook, tell them you have living proof it can be done, then send them to me.

Whatever. Moderate and General zones free should be inclusive. Adult zones for over 18. I know that it isn't just a game but you would think that including a younger cohort would be an investment. Last post on this. You will be talking to air from now on.

What part of LL already does all of this do you not comprehend? Apparently all of it.

Then, you verify age for Adult sites only. In Moderate sites they shouldn't be do anything that would land them in jail. There are other gaming sites on the net that don't exclude age groups.

    LL already does that.

SL is NOT a game. It is a creative platform where your imagination is your only limit within the TOS.

Then don't, do your own thing. Who said you have to raise someone else's children? The 16 to 18 year old cohort is the group that shouldn't be shut out. They spend time and money in digital and a virtual environment could be the future in social media and communication. I didn't mean small children.

They are not legal adults in the US. They can't be allowed access to adult things because of federal and state laws.

If you want SL to be shut down faster than you can shake a stick at it, go for it. I'll be empathizing with the families of the LL employees as they wait for their loved ones to be released from prison.

If that is what you really want, have at it. Count me out.

And you know what? There should be people of all ages on Second Life, those are your future customers, builders and script writers. Not their fault that there are so many creeps on Second Life.

If you mean children under the age of 16... hell no. SL is a platform for adults, not children. Always has been, always will be. Teen Grid doesn't count as it was a separate grid.

I've raised 6 children, I don't log in to SL to raise more!

Parts  of me  are  missing, it is actually the alpha which is  messed up, one breast and part of my neck do not show on my viewer.  Other  people tell me they do not see any issues.  I do not see any  issues when I use the SL viewer.  Any ideas  as to why this might be?

Sounds like it may be bake fail. You can work through the wiki page or you could ask for help in the support group but they'd probably give you the same link, unless there's something going on I'm not aware of with the latest release or an LL bug which may or may not be on the Jiras.

  8. If I block a creator and/or that creator's rep, I won't be doing business with that creator. That is set in stone.

If someone pushes my button(s) hard enough for me to want to block them, they deserve it and I want nothing further to do with them or their business. I will take my business elsewhere as I do in RL.

In my case, not blocking them will do more harm than good.

I am in Eastern Time in the US. I think we may just have different taste in clubs. :)

Hopefully you are still able to find ones you like! :)

But yes, Hi! :) I feel I kind of know you a little from reading your posts in the forum (I read a lot more than I post).

Well I did tend to avoid the biggest, most popular places. Then I got burnt out on clubbing. Got to be where it was like RL with almost nothing but sports bars. And after co-owning/operating a few, I've pretty much gotten over it. lol

Mmmm, I dunno, if you were 'like me,' I kinda of think I might of run into you sometime over the last 12 years? Maybe you meant 'people who have been in SL since then'? Or perhaps we are on opposite ends of the time zones, which is something that makes SL interesting and frustrating at the same time (makes it really hard for partners, or if like me, you like music that is more liked by people in Europe than in the US).

I've been in SL since 2004 and there are tons of people I've never met at the clubs I went to. Used to be in CST, been in PST/SLT since October 2006. So you must be across the pond from me which would explain why we never met inworld. *waves* Hi. :D
