There is a new railway from the west side through the central parts of the Chalet sub continent which ends in the far north. I think more railway line is in the works in the near future.

I guess no Fantasy homes release today. The annual release pattern normally happens within a month of new themed regions arriving on the grid it seems. The Fantasy LH timeline... Check out the new Bavarian Windmill and hangout spot in the Carmine Sky region which is north of the Chalet sub continent. The airstrip in Buffalo Springs is lovely with a sitting area/rez area for aircraft/boats. The Cthulhu region next door will be built on very soon.

It's a positive sign for sure. If I'm right in saying I think its just the Mendoza region and the Wibbly Crossroads region at closer zoom level that still have colored squares. However when zooming out the top half of the fantasy continent are colored squares. There have been a few green dots showing up around the fantasy continent though. There was some movement earlier this morning over at the SSP regions so maybe it's almost finished. Yay!

There is some Mole activity going on this morning over at the SSP regions (8 seen on the map). The SSPSCR region has turned red but other than that not much has changed. Fantasy sub continent preparation work still on-going. Exciting times ahead hopefully this week or next week.

SSPB1 and SSPB2 are new regions that have linked up with the green SSP regions. SSPSCR is showing visuals on the map for the first time. 👀 Closer look at SSPSCR 👀 On the new sub continent these regions are rather different compared with most of the other regions. Progress is being made for sure. Hopefully next week will be the release of the Fantasy sub continent.

Zooming in/out of the new Fantasy LH regions does keep disappearing at the moment. It's good to see visuals at last on the map.

In time there will be a water connection most likely. At full draw distance at the closest point I can't see anything yet. Hopefully we will be able to access the sub continent in the days/weeks ahead. It's amazing how much empty space there is for upcoming Linden Home themes. Maybe a place where the old Linden Home continents can be moved to with further expansion. Bugs Bunny can't see any new land mass yet inworld.

With these new Fantasy Linden homes being added during the weekend there is now 27, 050 regions in Second Life now. Yay! It seems like Nelson Eddy and Hanshin regions are the closest points for entry to the new sub continent. Some of the region names on the new sub continent I like.. Patchwork Laughing Witch Mystic Elf Elfin Marbles Teabreak Phoenix Lights Pippins Paradise White Wizard Transformation Bright Eyes Solstace Fellowship The SSP Development area now looks like this with two unknown areas (?) still yet to be announced.

It appears the Moles have added some more new SSP black regions to mix recently from SSP3021 to SSP3030. It's not clear why SSPNCR is separated away from the black SSP regions. SSPSCR appears to be a new region that has recently appeared which could be the next theme after the black theme has been announced in the distant future. SSP Development Area Formation Layout * Purple = Chalet regions development * Green = Fantasy regions development * Black = Theme to be announced in the near future * SSPSCR = Possible upcoming theme There is definitely work going on behind the scenes recently.

Last year the Stilts was released in early December 2020. Maybe we will have to wait until the end of the year.

During this month's Web User Group meeting Keira Linden mentioned that the iOS version has now been accepted by Apple. The lab are working on the first set of feature updates before it gets released on the Apple Store very soon. The Android version is still in development and won't be released until much later in the year/next year. * At the moment the iOS version is in the testing phrase with 40-50 users using it. * There will be new dedicated "SL Mobile" regions soon which will be used for communications for those that use the app. Physical avatar presence within the regions won't be available or engaging in local chat. * Direct IMs will be possible and Group chat will be added very soon. 3D View is on the roadmap but it's way down the line. * Viewing Notecards / Inventory / Seeing who's in the region won't be available in the early days. * I think having a chat room/region is being looked into for those that want a few or so friends to hang out with. Over time more functionality will be added to the IOS version/Android version of the Second Life mobile app.
