  1. A more recent one that scared the hell out of me, The Ring. I like the Japanese version better but I couldn't find a decent clip for it, so here's the American version. Valerie, don't watch the ending, it will come to life if you do :smileywink:
  2. Ooops, sorry Valerie. I should have added a disclaimer "Don't watch the last few minutes, scary woman with big teeth and a big knife and she's gonna get ya". :matte-motes-agape: Block it out of your mind and never think of it again! Does this helps :smileywink: or this
  3. I wore my Redgrave skin for a quite a while, then I discovered Belleza, then League but my very first skin is now my last skin Unique but a different style and I'm very happy with it. Won't stop trying out others though :smileyvery-happy:
  4. Lol Willow, I had a similar experience at the bazaars in Casablanca and Fez, I recall every shop having the same 'marketing techniques'. Serving of peppermint tea, sitting on the cushions, the colorful rugs and the really hard sell on almost anything with the promise of making your husband to go wild :smileyvery-happy: I still remember the lovely aroma of the spices and perfumes but I never again want to smell the vats of urine and pigeon droppings they use to tan leather in :matte-motes-agape: Sorry Ima for the slight derail but I couldn't help but think of Morocco when I read this.
  5. This traumatized me as a child. Trilogy of Terror (Part 2) the one with the little African tribal doll that comes to life a terrorizes Karen Black. The doll is lame, it was more the noises it made, the sounds of it running around after that scared me. I had to run and jump into bed for years after watching it just in case something was under the bed LOL. But the ending, I couldn't even bring myself to watch it when I was looking for the clip to post here :smileysurprised:
  6. Upon my primary perusal of this post I pondered the possibility of the poster pining for a pair of pom pom paw pullovers. Postliminary I perceive this post provoked a plethora of parries pertaining to P. I posit the next time I will prolong the pursuit of paraphernalia for others procurement until I partake of plenteous pots of perkiness :smileywink:
  7. I search and I seached and all I found were these short ankle socks. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SWS-Yoga-Lounge-Set-Fat-Pack-Red-Navy-Lime-Purple/1602778 They're nowhere near as cute as the ones you're looking for I'm afraid and they're part of an outfit but maybe they're sold separately. I also found these knee high white socks that are so cute: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Kyoot-Lacey-White-Knee-Socks/2501954 Maybe you could add your own pompoms to them :matte-motes-grin: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Cupids-12-Plush-Fur-PomPom/1509629 _____________________ ETA: found these white golf socks (but with another outfit) https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/KM-Golf-Set-for-Her/2096757
  8. You're very welcome Aylin. I had it happen to me again this weekend when a sim I was on restarted. I did the character test again and wore the items in the folder I created for this annoying but infrequent issue and I was back to my old self in no time. I can't take the credit for this idea though, other forum members have suggested this many times before me. Glad it worked for you. :matte-motes-smile:
  9. Thanks Valerie. Hope you're feeling better :matte-motes-smile:
  10. I was thinking of just trying a demo to see if I like them better that Similar ones I bought, but it is a good point you make.
  11. I think it looks lovely Charolotte. Fits you like a glove :matte-motes-smile:
  12. They are very nice feet indeed. In fact, the nail colour is the exact colour I'm wearing in RL right now :smileyvery-happy: I'm going to go check them out on the weekend, hopefully they have a demo version I can try. Thanks for posting the pic.
  13. I'm glad your computer is back to normal :matte-motes-smile:. I don't know if this helps but I turn my computer off, every day and reboot my modem at least a few times a week if not more. Maybe this is why I rarely crash. I've only had one issue since I've been in S.L. that was resolved by doing a clean reinstall. My cache for Phoenix is stored in a different location to the SL viewer cache (when I did have SL viewer installed) and from what I've read here in the forums and in the viewers support pages, it's beneficial to do a clean reinstall if you have issues that aren't resolved by the usual steps i.e. rebooting modem, manually clearing cache etc.
  14. I found this video useful in making a shape for system skirts. Follow the steps, use "save as" instead of save it's saved as a new shape and call in skirt shape. Helps if you have a folder where your other shapes are stored, easier to find when you need it :matte-motes-smile: ETA the link
  15. It would be good to know what viewer they're using. Also, maybe spell out PIOF (Payment info on file) :matte-motes-smile:
  16. The English Lake District is somewhere I'd love to go Buttermere Lake, English Lake District Crummock Water, English Lake District I'm cheating with this one because I have seen Eilean Donan castle in Scotland but only from a very far distance but I'd like to go back for a closer view. P.S. Hope you're better soon Valerie.
  17. Mayalily wrote: And with mesh coming out soon, you're better off trying to get one of the newer viewers working before you get attached to Phoenix, and then it won't work anymore when mesh is here. Mayalily, that's not entirely correct :matte-motes-smile:. It's not that Phoenix won't work anymore because of mesh, it will work for a period yet to be determined but it won't be able to render mesh and won't accommodate new features. From the phoenix support page: "While it is true that V1 based viewers are nearing the end of their shelf life, this is not because LL will be 'blocking' them. LL will NOT be blocking Phoenix or other V1 viewers. V1 viewers like Phoenix will not be blocked, rather they will begin to break as LL rolls out new features that these viewers cannot accommodate." and "As mesh becomes more and more popular, and I'm sure it will.. more and more people will be selling, buying, making and using mesh in their daily sl lives. As the usage increases, the world will look more and more broken for Phoenix and other V1 users." However, who knows how long it will take before using Phoenix becomes a significant problem. I don't know and I don't think anyone really does. Until that day comes, I'm happy to use this viewer as it's stable and rarely causes me any issues :matte-motes-grin:

Several months ago I reported a vehicle on the road in front of my place that had been there for months and LL got rid of it. They advised the parcel didn't have autoreturn turned on and fixed it, so now it does. I haven't seen once since.
  19. Maryanne Solo wrote: and.. the original has been taken down but! You Better get a lawyer son.. ^~ \o/ WooT! *rock it! The original was a great vid. Love the lyrics too, just so tongue in cheek :smileyvery-happy: I wasn't doin nuthing, anyway Just what is it, that I'm supposed to have done? With bloodshot eyes and bleedin’ hands I put my new suit in the cleaners again Took the first bus, I didn’t look back Lungs long blowin’ like a smoke stack Hair fallin’ out as the wind blows through it My horse ran second just like I knew it would Overflowin’ ashtray, yeah Oh yeah Then the Occifer said Better get a lawyer, son You better get a real good one Get yourself a suit and tie And get your hair cut way up high Get yourself a lawyer, son You're gonna need a real good one I got legs, I can walk All the way down the dirt track I fell down, I got up I turned around then I walked back I walked to the sea I stood there and looked for a sign It took time, but it came I added up and took what was mine Oh yeah Then the Occifer said Better get a lawyer, son You better get a real good one Don’t drop the soap Don’t smoke no dope Get yourself a lawyer, son Your gonna need a good one to getcha outa this one
  20. I bought the tip toed and flat foot versions of the Sim I Lar bare feet last weekend. They come with skin matching and nail polish hud, and you can show and hide the chain (but not the ankle part which does a good job of hiding the join at the ankle). The store has demos of both so you can try before you buy. Adjusting them can be quite a slow process but if you have the patience, I think the finished look is pretty nice.
  21. Good song Wildcat. Sang along (with the help of the lyrics you posted) while I was drinking my morning coffee :matte-motes-smile: Love the guitar riffs in it.
  22. Listened to a lot of Radiohead at work on Friday and had a very productive day designing screens for a software application. 5 of Radiohead's albums on random shuffle and 20 screens completed for a demo on Monday, yay! These are a couple of my favorites from the albums The Bends: "Sulk" "Just"
  23. Hi there Maryanne, I wish I could see them again, one of my favourite bands to see live but I hear Tex and his Ladyboys tour around from time to time, not the same as the Cruel Sea but funny :smileyvery-happy: I laughed when I saw you posted the clip of TISM's Greg the Stop Sign in another thread, who else but an aussie would know that song lmao. I had a fun trip down memory lane when I posted in your thread, although I'm guessing most people aren't going to have heard of most of the bands I posted, I had a lot of fun finding them. :matte-motes-smile:
  24. Wildcat! Wow, what a masterpiece :matte-motes-smile:
